To me, biggest disappointment was AVs refusal so demote and bench MSL. MSL has killed this teams PP, the offensive ability if any and every line he has been on. AV has allowed that geezer to be out there and destroy the team, and he NEEDS to answer for that ridiculousness. His loyalty to players is probably great for players, but hurts the team. So I hope MSL is happy that he is a MAJOR reason why this team struggled so horribly. Congrats MSL. Enjoy retirement and go fuck yourself.

The NHL playoffs are a total hard grind. We were clearly right there as the best team this season, but couldn't score at home in the whole series. If you told me we'd go 2-1 in TB in this series I'd say we won in 6. Amazing we lost 3 of 4 at home...and the last 3...truly amazing. Would have been much better off if this game was in TB.

The only thing I get on AV for is MSL. The fact that he kept him on that PP was crazy to me. Outside of that the rest is nonsense, AV can't score for them at home...that is on the players.

Played tentative and scared all game long. Frankly, they played like somebody forgot to tell them this was a game seven.
My buddy warned me that this is AV's M.O. Great regular seasons, and then his teams typically struggle in the playoffs. I figured it was because of poor defenses that he had in Vancouver. I'm not so sure now. He was out coached two straight series. We stole the series against the Caps because of Hank. No such luck tonight.

Nash invisible, MSL noticeable only for how much time he seems to be on the ice getting no production, Brassard had an awesome game in game 6, been a non-factor all game long. Kreider is another one of those young NY players who we talk up like he is Sidney Crosby but he is more Bing Crosby at times than Sidney. Bishop outplaying Hank (2 semi-weak goals tonight for Tampa)
They changed the ending. Lost in the ECF instead of the SCF. lol

The biggest issue I see is the window on this team with Hank has maybe 2 years left before Hank starts to slip a little, and the cap means we lose some guys. And after this run/season it will be VERY difficult to be a top team and make a deep run again next season. This was the perfect setup season for us. To me that is my biggest frustration, this season may have been our best shot to win a cup with this group.
I'm not saying it's on AV, but eventually you look at the poor production and wonder is it game planning or is it inability to execute. If it game planning, it's on AV (like MSL). If it inability to execute, you remove those guys this offseason. This still isn't really AV's team. AV needs more skilled guys than we have for his system. Guys like Hagelin, Moore, Fast aren't really his system type of guys.
Oh I am not blaming Hank, he is the better goalie just not tonight. Their goalie has done everything right tonight, no rebounds and their team has played the same game they played game 5 brilliantly and we did nothing at all to combat that.

Unbelievable that anyone would blame the coach. 94 and his buddy are both lost. THis is Gm 7, you shouldn't even need a coach to come out and play your ass off. This is all on the players. And this team has made the ECF 2yrs in a row under AV. How many coaches have done that with NY? and that's with Nash wearing a skirt.

AV gets some of the blame Chuck, sorry to tell you. MSL didn't put himself in the lineup all series long did he? Did AV not know the other team was going to play the same game they did last home game and what changes did AV make to combat that? How did he respond? The team has almost looked lifeless tonight lol, don't say the coach has nothing to do with that. He still had a great year...

That's the biggest issue Mess. If I were a betting man I wouldn't expcet a top season from the Rangers next season. I wouldn't expect a long playoff run either. The East is getting better. This was our golden chance, and we didn't get it done. A lot of soul searching coming up for these guys. I can see next season being a slip into the playoffs barely type of season. Not easy to do it for a 3rd straight season.
