The Clippers totally won the Blake Griffin trade. It's the rare trade that made both teams worse, but that works in the Clippers favor. That trade insured that both teams will miss the playoffs and that means two lottery pick for the Clippers.

Keep in mind that the Blazers were 41-41 last year. Other than grabbing Nurk for the second half of the season, they didn't make any significant changes. The West definitely got tougher, so it's not unreasonable to expect a record similar to last year.

I think the biggest difference is the maturation of the players. We've been patient, and allowed the internal development to happen. Yes, Dame has stepped up big time. But the little contributions from all of the role players has made a significant overall difference. You don't always have to hit the home-run trade to see a jump in the win column.

We've got a very young team. I think we still have plenty of upside considering Collins is only 20, Nurk is 23, Harkless is 24, and our big guns Dame (27) and CJ (26) are just entering their prime years.

This should have been a really tough game on a back to back but the Blazers are just playing too good right now for that to matter.

What a special run. Everyone playing together as a team on offense and defense. Stotts is no Popovich, but the play of this team currently reminds me of the past decade of Spurs teams. All together, just going out and winning games like it's a business .

What an impressive win. We went to an in-form Clippers team, being on a back to back, and not only beat them but did so without really breaking a sweat. A complete team effort too, at the beginning of this run we were sometimes reliant on the moments of brilliance from Dame and sometimes CJ, right now the whole team is playing very well.

Next few games will test us but I am optimistic. We can probably get to 50 wins which I did not think was possible even two or three weeks ago.

Our "role players" have just been amazing. One night it is Mo, another night it is Chief. Another night it is Nurk.. Another night it is Ed and/or Zach. And another night it could be Pat and/or ET. Scotts knows who is hot. The team knows who is hot. And we just ride the hot hand. In between, Dame and CJ continue to remain consistent in the 20s, or go for 30, 40 or 50 if needed.
But oh boy, do I hate Chris Paul !!! I just want to slap Houston in the face on Tuesday night.
