:reading:OFFICIAL KINGS' GAME NOTES
:reading: OFFICIAL BLAZERS' GAME NOTES
• Monday marks the third of four regular season matchups between the Trail Blazers and Kings in 2015-16.

• LAST MEETING: Portland defeated Sacramento, 112-97, at the Moda Center on Jan. 26. Damian Lillard provided 15 points and 13 assists, while Gerald Henderson scored 15 points off the bench on 7-of-12 shooting.

• The Trail Blazers have won both of their games against the Kings this season. With a win in either of its final two games against the Kings, Portland would claim its third consecutive season series over Sacramento.

• Portland (2-0 this season) has won multiple games against Sacramento in seven consecutive seasons (2008-09).

• Since 2008-09, the Trail Blazers are 11-2 against the Kings at the Moda Center. Portland has won five straight home contests over Sacramento.

• In two games against Sacramento this season, CJ McCollum has averaged 26.5 points on 47.7% shooting (4-13 3-PT), 6.0 rebounds and 7.0 assists. McCollum has led Portland in scoring in both of those games.

HEAD-TO-HEAD HISTORY:
ALL TIME: Trail Blazers lead, 124-76
IN PORTLAND: Trail Blazers lead, 81-18
AT THE KINGS: Kings lead, 34-31

Don't know how we win this game without our Boogie-stopper. Our bigs are in for a long night tomorrow, I tell you.

Don't underestimate these Kings, they have plenty of options, they seem rather healthy, they may not have much to play for but they have players who don't like to lose.
The way we've been playing has been up-and-down, when we play strong we win the game but we seem to have lost some mojo, Meyers' injury also takes it's toll as he was playing maybe the best basketball of his career until then.
We're a team no-one thought would make the playoffs but we still need to get there and then keep going, I want us to be competitive and for that we need to reach the playoffs in stride

The Kings play Dallas today so they'll be on the second of a back to back. Its an earlier 3pm tipoff today with Dallas so they will get in plenty early but still they should be the more tired team.

Great Dallas and Houston lost today that sure helps the blazers.

Well the b2b ain't gonna mean anything, no one on Sacrementos team played more than 30 minutes lol.

Tickets are pretty cheap on StubHub! I might just have to go! It's nice to be able to go to games again.

Sacramento can be a handful to defend. I'm as much a Meyers basher as anyone but he certainly had a role helping defend Cousins. Not one of Plumlee's better matchup. I wonder if we might dust off some Kaveman tomorrow?

I agree this is going to be a tough match up. The one thing that gives me some confidence is that we just got done playing down to a lesser opponent. I would be more worried if we just played well against a really good team.....and were over confident. The Philadelphia game should be a fresh reminder of what can happen. Every game left should be approached like it's a playoff game.

It'll never happen but I would love to see Stotts throw Cliff and his six fouls at boogie.

I would like to see his appearance on the court

Agreed. This is a game we could very easily lose and we can't afford to lose. We're still only 1.5 maybe 2 games ahead of the 9th seed, this is not time to get comfortable. The Kings beat Dallas easy, they play for nothing but they feel more loose and with Rudy Gay healthy they're better than their record.

We are 2.5 games ahead of 9th seed.

Gay, Rondo, and Cousins all expected to miss the game to get rest.
Rest for what? Their vacation in 2 weeks?

Not so stealth tank. They need to lose their way into the top 10 protection on their pick.

Sidebar: A good night to sit Dame as well. He's looked so overworked the last two weeks.

Of course he's gonna say that-- and it shouldn't be his call. Top pro athletes don't want to admit that they need rest. They got to where they are by pushing through the fatigue and having a strong mindset. Still doesn't take away from the fact that we should be able to beat a team led by Darren Collison and Willie Cauley-Stein at home without Dame.

Rest will do Dame well-- just look at how 10 days off helped him during the all star break. He'd get a solid 4 days off if he sits tonight.

I agree he needs rest, I just don't think it's his personality. I feel like he just pushes himself

Honestly hope Dame takes the bench this game too. If all those guys are taking a break there's no need to wear him out more. We have plenty of hard games coming up.
