NOTES

  • This is the fourth of four games between the Blazers and Spurs this season
  • The Spurs lead the season series 2-0
  • The Blazers won the 2020-21 season series 2-1
  • Zach Collins was taken with the 10th pick in the 2017 draft by the Kings before being traded to Portland where he played from 2017-21
  • Drew Eubanks was signed by the Spurs after going undrafted in 2017. He played for the Spurs from 2017-22 until he was traded to Raptors who then waived him. He is now on his fourth 10 day contract with the Blazers

Won't get fooled again!

Starting out hitting all of our shots and building a ten point lead. Pretty interesting but I'm pretty sure the Spurs will come back after Pop called a time out.

I guess Spurs really are tanking then. I didn't think they were; I guess they think they can't make up two games on Pels or just don't want to.
I don't think they're tanking, I think they're resting their guys while beating us so they can try and win the games against the better teams they have coming up. It might be a miscalculation.

no dame/nurk/justise in SA? i know a few of em were at the final four in NO yesterday. they get stuck there? Nas was there too but he's back on the bench

The minutes that Keon and GB have gotten due to the tank have helped them the most. They have improved and the learning curve is expedited. You can see them gain more confidence with each game.

My fault, I mis-read the standings, thought they were 11th, not 10th.

Putting Blevins and Perry in really helped gets things under control.

Interesting plus/minuses. Greg plus 17 in 14 minutes. Blevins minus 9 in 10 minutes.

Crap. We gotta lose this one. Our one win mulligan should be saved for OKC.

Who would you rather:

11 points, 8 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, 2 TO, 18 minutes
5 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist, 3 TO, 13 minutes

There will never be an explanation sufficient for me as to why Chauncey is playing McLemore so much. We have young guys that can really benefit from playing time and we do not benefit from a win. I want Chauncey getting the guys playing working as hard and smart as they can for a win but he chooses who those guys are. Ben getting more minutes than Keon and Didi when both of those young guys are under contract for us next season is fucking ridiculous.

who is getting ignored? Hughes sucks. Keon is starting. Didi is still on a minutes restriction.

Ben should have developed some form of tendinopathy about a month ago.

I think we can still find a way.....
We will find a way to lose but there's still no reason for Ben to be out there. Dude has proved that he has something to contribute to a team next year, so you're not doing him any big favors.

Keon might have started the game but he played four less minutes and to be honest we should still be evaluating Hughes. Who the fuck cares if he's sucked to this point, the only point of any of these games now has to be developing young guys. So Keon, Elleby and yes even Hughes should be getting more minutes than a vet that has had a really solid season that should get him more than the minimum this summer.

McLemore ain’t getting more than the minimum. Hughes probably won’t even be in the league next year.

Why in the H-E-Double Sticks are we doing in the lead. Would be awful if the Kings pass us in the lottery standings

Sorry, for me there still just isn't any justifiable reason for such a seasoned vet to be leading a team that is where we're at in shot attempts.

Cronin should have got rid of him at the deadline, even if he had to take a late second rounder in 2030.
