In 2 years, who will have the better team?

The implication is that the wolves are beating teams right now, playing really good ball. Why is losing to the Wolves an important indictment on us but not the Warriors?

Because we had more at stake? We are fighting for play-off position - all GSW is playing for is the ego rush of a record that won't mean diddly once the play-offs start.

Taking a quick two with less than 24 seconds left means you will HAVE to foul. That then means you get the ball back and in all likelihood still have to shoot a three, only with less time now. It's never a smart move.
If you miss the three then you have to foul and then you're down two possessions likely.

Games like tonight prove why we need a lot of help this offseason from Neil. We have no low-post scoring options, so teams with good perimeter defenders can sell out to stop our guards. We don't have a true rim protector or bulky center, so we're prone to getting dominated on the offensive glass and the paint.

Didn't the Suns a few years ago have like 5 game winners hit on them or something. Was that the 48 win season?

With timeouts and shaky FT shooters on the other side, it's alright

Greg Monroe would have been nice. He's about as inept protecting the rim as Plumlee but at least he can score.

True but I think he is our best player to stick on low post players like KAT/Cousins

I'm not sure KAT is a good matchup for him though. Leonard seems to frustrate guys that play a more physical style and like to bang (Cousins, Marc Gasol, etc). Guys that are skilled and more fluid athletes often leave him looking confused as they get an easy layup and he fouls them to give them a 3 point play.

But does that make up for the difference in talent between the Warriors and the Blazers? Or maybe the Wolves are good.

KAT banged; not on the last play of course because nobody was guarding him.

But look at the big picture. We shouldn't even be in the playoffs and here we are arguing over a loss that could of costed us the 5th seed which I highly doubt it did. I think we still get it. Let's face it, this team isn't getting into the 2nd round. Most likely at least. Surprise. I'm more excited for the talent we could pick up in the offseason and adding a legit big to stop shit like what just happened to us. This could of been a dreadful rebuilding process. This is pretty fucking fast. So I'm happy about it. Yeah, it's a bad loss, but this team shouldn't even be where they are at

Nowitzki

If our season depended on defending for 10 seconds, we lose the game nearly every time. Crunch time defense has to be near the bottom of the league
Its crunch time execution in general. On offense he's just bailed out by having one of the clutchest players in the league.

I'm not talking about the Warriors, I"m talking about the Blazers. And why would you even ask if it matters? What a stupid question.

I see you're talking about the Blazers. Losses like this happen all the time and you all act like it is the end of the world, and it is not just our team that has these type of losses. The Blazers will most definitely compete and give it there all whoever we match up with. But we will be overmatched in all likelihood and lose in the first round but I'm ok with that. We already did what everyone, including myself, pegged as something that wouldn't be done this year by making the playoffs. Any and all experience we get from this is great. From there you hope to add some more nice pieces.

Valid points, but he would've been a better player to front KAT than Aminu and that's the bottom line because Stone Cold said so.

And how did that work out for you tonight?

It never works out. It's fools gold.
Thats cuz we played stupid and waited 8 seconds to foul. Ruined the whole strategy. The point of it is to increase number of possessions. We defeated that by waiting to foul.

I'm all for different opinions and criticizing. Saying lillards shot selection is bad, okay cool. But when tunchi is constantly on here blatantly talking crazy shit almost like he's trying to get a rise out of people, it's not fun. Dudes like him shouldn't be on this forum. Every time I see a tunchi post I cringe and it legitimately pisses me off. The immature child trying to poke and poke. Well good job buddy, you did it. There's a difference between constructive criticism and whatever the fuck tunchi is doing, call it hating or whatever. Dude has nothing good to say when Blazers perform well, he's only talking when we play terrible or when Damian is playing bad. Shits annoying. And yeah, you can point me towards the mute button but if I got a mute somebody on this forum, what does that say about it? I'm just here as a fan to talk Blazers, why do I gotta mute somebody? It's reached a level of ridiculousness. Long ago actually but moda won't do anything about it for whatever reason
Seriously. I get pissed off at games like this easier than almost anyone. Having a troll like that is the most annoying shit and results in me posting things I don't like. Dudes like that just bring the whole forum down. I think we have a lot of smart dudes on this forum and if somebody read the past few pages with exchanges between him and others, they would likely decide not to join.

My biggest problem with Stotts is the stiffness in his defensive adjustments. Just let the other team keep doing what the want. Stick to your principles, stick to your principles.

Newflash, sometimes you face players that are too good to just stick to your principles.

Closest thing we have to real C is Kaman. Plumlee and Davis are PFs.

Davis is a keeper for sure.

I don't know what to make of Plumlee. He's had defensive problems against a number of centers. But he doesn't shoot well enough to play PF, or really have the speed to defend against quick PF's.

Davis and Plumlee are at the least excellent backup bigs.

We need a defensive coordinator, if only Thibs would accept that kind of position.

He's an obvious troll. Best thing to do is not feed him so he'll run along and try somewhere else. I'm kind of curious where the threshold is for being an obvious troll before you get banned, but that's about all his posts do for me.

It's pretty high here but it's being discussed.

This "playoff team" should be a "lottery team." Enjoy the 4 playoff games, because the price we pay to watch those losses is one development year for our next 1st-round pick.

When I say that ???

Listen man I just know that this year is a wash why give up an asset??
That's not the problem with you, and if you really don't know what is then you are clueless.
