Should we rest our main rotation players for this game?

  • Yes. We need to tank for the 4th Seed so we can avoid San Antonio

Although that game was so fun and amazing to watch reading this game thread after was a close second. All star defense or not that was impressive from all three youngsters. Hope it gives them confidence to build on.

We'll talk after the series and then you can explain again why OKC was better than utah
Moaning at your teams success... moaning at Simons dropping 37... that's FAKE. I already know you'll cry and moan about this game if we lose to OKC, as if we would've easily beat Utah. Smfh.

Rooting to get a easyier matchup, even if you have to loose a game doesnt make you a fake fan. I wake up in the middle of the night to watch Blazers games, so never ever call me a fake fan again you understood?

Watch your mouth. If you're gonna act like a fake fan, I'm gonna call you on it. What are you gonna do, slap me from "across the pond"?

I understand wanting to play Utah, but whining about Simons and these guys playing amazing basketball and making that comeback? Thats weak.

People acting like Utah wouldve been pushovers. If I remember correctly, we were more competitive against OKC all year than we were against Utah in our first two games. Utah finished ahead of them for a reason. Mitchell has been playing amazing.

The difference is negligible. If Terry can finally scheme well against a trap, we'll exploit OKCs defense to no end, and we'll have a better chance at beating them than Utah.

If he cant, we'd lose regardless.

Simons could score 60 or 80 or 100, i'm happy for him, but loose the game in the end. Thats all i wanted. Now we play OKC with Paul George and Wesbrook who allways plays very good against us instead of playing Utah, yes they have gobert, but Gobert isn't even close that offensive threat as Paul George. Utah has been on a roll because of their easy schedule post All Star break, they are not as good as OKC.

Its "lose".

PG played well against everyone. Until lately. That's not an "us" thing.

If Utah isn't as good, why is their record better?

Gobert is a huge threat as a lob catcher.

OKC has 2 stars. Utah plays great as a TEAM.

You have no logical basis for your whining.

Not in here you aren't, if it involves personal attacks. Calling someone a "fake fan" because they don't root for a team the same way you do or the way you think they should... not OK dude. You know better.

And @Labinot41--I don't care how personally attacked you might be; you don't get to respond in kind.

I've edited posts from both of you--we're done now, got it?

Are these bobbleheads for sale somewhere?
Wow, were you ever wrong about our starting five or the players who actually played the entire game. No shame there 'cause I was dreadfully wrong, too.

I wouldn't nit pick about someones minor spelling errors. There's plenty of other disagreements to discuss. Plenty

CJ is coming off 3 weeks of rest. He said something about sleeping in his own bed. Exactly where has he been sleeping then?
You don't wanna know.

Theres levels to this. Hopefully you realize that and arent that robotic.

I think Stotts had big adjustment last night when he put the team in a zone defensive. I thought Trent made some good defense plays last night he actually got some quick feet.

Look through your posts and see what I've deleted and what I've allowed to remain. Clearly I understand there are levels. Hopefully you realize that there are times--including this morning--where you go over the line, and you need to own that, and adjust.

Leaves a bad taste in my mouth that we were trying to tank away from OKC. It better be because the coaches had already prepped for UTA and not because they think OKC is a worse matchup. I truly believe we are in a better position to advance now vs if we had gotten 4th

I think it's more to do with rest than anything. Our goal was HCA, we got that. We didn't want last year with Dame burned out come playoffs.

Yet you said he responded in kind.
As in, with a personal attack. I'm not going into which personal attack is worse, because I don't care. It doesn't matter. It's against the rules, it got deleted, period. Quit with the misdirection and the self-justification. To paraphrase @dviss1--own your stuff. Don't worry so much about what the other guy is doing--just conduct yourself the way you're supposed to. It's not that complicated.

Yeah this is pretty much dead on. I would still prefer to play the Jazz but both teams present issues for the Blazers. (Completely different issues)
Gobert really shuts down Dame's ability to attack the rim in crucial situations. On the flip side Westbrook and George are better down the stretch of games then Mitchell IMO. Both environments would be tough to play in on the road and I think we will need to win 1 road game.

Don't want the team going into playoffs afraid. Last night showed they aren't.
