Game Ball - The Big Three stepped up and got the job done on the offensive end. Collins had himself a decent game

Lame Ball - Team defense throughout, especially in the 2nd quarter. Boki was pretty ineffective today

Collins had a horrible game defensively. Pau got whatever he wanted on him. He did do well offensively, I guess.

Jason Kidd - 42 minutes. WTF

Yeah not that great to see. Unfortunately who are you going to put in his place, Eddie Gill? We couldn't have come back from 20 with him leading the way. We're just sort of stuck untill Armstrong and Marcus come back.

You can't blame this thing on Collins. Gasol is an all-star caliber player and Collins can't guard those inside/outside guys.

I didn't care for the substitutions. Boki gets the lame ball, game ball to Vince.

Definately Boki with the lame ball. Had the chance to redeem himself of a crappy game and missed a wide open three.

I finally got my icon situation straightened out. It's a little small but will do.

Boki seems twice as good when he starts. Never got warm tonight, didn't get too much space.

so we pay him 6 mil a year to guard scrubs? cliffy used to play Gasol well.

i meant in the beginning. Twin played him well late and that was good but Pau got some quick pts. early. But cmon, 9-15, 22 pts, that's a tad much.

9 of 15? Jeez Im sure Boone would keep him to those numbers. Hell Kid Choc could hassle him into 9-15, and he would do it for about a tenth of what we pay Collins...

LAME BALL - Jason Kidd.

and Lawrence Frank, he should not have played the zone defense.

That's why they made the 3pt shots so well.

how do you figure Jason getting a lame ball?

Frank gets the lame ball. The zone defense was idiotic, playing Collins for 32 minutes should never ever happen. He scores 6 points and we're all supposed to have a parade for him? Give me a break. He still couldn't get out to Gasol, who made about 5 straight uncontested 15 to 18 footers in the first half. And the though Boki was off, Frank took him out right after he made back to back 3s. Why take him out when he's heating up? Seems like Magloire or Allen could have been given a chance in this game over Boone, who blew yet another dunk. Frank needs to figure out a regular rotation soon.

Frank is the biggest pest in the team. But we never have a way to get rid of him.

2 airballs in the straight.

He coudn't make the open three in this game.

Raptors have shown us how to beat "super" team like Memphis and how to guard super-duper Pau Gasol... Please, no exuses here that Collins couldn't guard Pau cause he is unstopable.

Collins played very well in this game.

I thought the third quarter was his best of the season.

I actually don't have any complaints about the way the Nets played or anyone's individual effort.

The Grizzlies are a tough matchup for the Nets and they played very, very well. That's why they won.

with all due respect, guys, but if Memphis is a tough matchup and we can't beat this team at home, we may very well trade Kidd right now and from now on play Sean and Josh as starters. being mediocre team is not an option. eather suck (draft pick) or win (the cup).

Even great teams lose games - sometimes to lesser teams.

The truth is the Grizzlies are a bad matchup for the Nets and they had to play a great game to win, which they did.

The Nets played well last night.

If you think the Nets are some kind of elite team like the '92 Bulls that never lost to anyone then you are mistaken.

I understand this. Sometimes even Spurs lose. But, we were coming off impressive WC trip back in our building where we lost the last 5. Wasn't it the situation when you say yourself: "Tonight's anything acceptable, even death, but not a loss! It's a must win" We needed this game! Instead in the first half there was no Team on the floor. No Team! And that is what depresses me
sad.gif

But we are not like Spurs that almost win the games that they should win.

They might lose to sub teams, but not many. Contrarily, we lose to sub teams usually andconsistenly !
