2010 was another year of sequels. Only one new IP in the nominations (RDR). Somewhat forgettable year in gaming.

Also this is just console games so Angry Birds and other stuff is not included.

You sir, are inccorect. Red Dead Redemtion is NOT a new IP. Red Dead Revolver was the original. It was released on May 4, 2004.

I kind of agree, kind of disagree, comme ce, comme ca. Revolver was made by Capcom and canceled. Rockstar picked it out of the garbage, gave it a facelift and released it. Moved a million plus units, too. Redemption isn't really a sequel to it. I see it like Batman Begins versus Batman and Robin. Its all the same stuff but the two pieces of art are distant cousins at best.

Ah, I see what your saying. I probably would have voted RDR if I played it. I don't have the money to spend on games. So I voted ME2, I loved the game. I searched every planet, did every mission/assignment. I have DLC to buy though. =D

Yeah the Shadow Broker one? Tell me if it is any good once you're done.

Okay I will, once I buy it. the IGAs (Inside Gaming Awards.. Real gamers give out the awards in that, not some celeb) They gave the best DLC to Shadow Broker. And I agree with what they say most of the time.

Mass Effect 2, and it wasn't even close to me.

I voted for RDR because that shit was the bomb.

Meh, the first half of the game was good, but I couldn't beat it. It wasn't because it was too difficult (because the game was ridiculously easy), but because it got GOD AWFUL BORING in the middle section. The story dragged and there wasn't enough action going on in it. I couldn't bring myself to beat the game.

I wouldn't even put it top 5. I'd have at least Mass Effect 2, God Of War 3, Heavy Rain, Fallout: New Vegas and Splinter Cell: Conviction before it. Hell, maybe even Bioshock 2 and NBA 2K11.

Red Dead and Black Ops for me, had to give it to B.O. since the online play is massive, but Red Dead is is 5x better for the story. :)

Ew, Celticking, I am disappointed.. Its the same game every year and you give it GOTY? Boreing!

Need a tiebreaker.

Doesn't help the cause. xD I heard Bioware 2 was a fail compared to Bioware 1.

Two more voted for RDR, looks like its gonna win.

Yeah this is pretty much the whole group that posts here.

RDR is our game of the year.

My vote for next year is Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim..

It is, I just couldn't vote for it because I never played it.

My vote for next year is Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim..

I don't know if I can agree with this, given the amount of awesome games currently slated for next year. Just to name a few:

Elder Scrolls V
Mass Effect 3
Brink
Rage
Uncharted 3

Any of those games could make a run for GOTY next year (and three of them are actually being developed or looked over by Bethesda). Right now, I'd probably have to say Mass Effect 3 is my favorite for GOTY next year just because of how epic Mass Effect 2 was, but we'll see.

I think it'll come down to either Mass Effect 3 or Uncharted 3 winning GotY.

I want these three games, but I am more excited to waste hours playing ESV.
Elder Scrolls V
Mass Effect 3
Gears of War 3
