:reading:BLAZERS' GAME NOTES
• Friday marks the second of two regular season games between the Trail Blazers and 76ers in 2014-15.

• Portland defeated Philadelphia, 114-104, earlier this season in Philadelphia on Nov. 24.

• The last team to sweep the season series between these two teams was Philadelphia in 2002-03.

• The Trail Blazers out rebounded the 76ers 52-29 in their first matchup this season, representing Portland’s largest rebounding margin against any opponent this season.

• LaMarcus Aldridge recorded game-highs with 33 points and 11 rebounds (six offensive) in 34 minutes against Philadelphia on Nov. 24. Aldridge has compiled four consecutive double-doubles against the 76ers, and is averaging 28.5 points and 13.7 rebounds in those contests.

• Philadelphia shot 0-of-8 from beyond the arc in the first matchup on Nov. 24 (0-of-8).

• The last time the Trail Blazers played in Philadelphia on Dec. 14, 2013, they scored 139 points and set the franchise record for most 3-point field goals in a game (21).

• Portland’s 64 second-half points against the 76ers on Nov. 24 represents the Trail Blazers most points scored in any second half this season.

GO BLAZERS!!!

POR vs. PHI, 12/26/14

PHI: 4-23...interesting, last place in the Titanic Division (Knicks are in 4th) but only 17 games back of the division, while NYK are 18 back. So there ya go.

Our last game: W @ OKC, 115-111
The Blazers (23-7) enter this game having won six of seven. Damian Lillard scored 40 points -- three shy of matching a career high set last Friday -- and had a season-best 11 assists in a 115-111 overtime victory in Oklahoma City on Tuesday.

Lillard hit the tying 3-pointer with three seconds left in regulation to complete his team's comeback from a 13-point fourth-quarter deficit in the final five minutes. Aldridge had 25 points after being questionable with an illness that kept him out of a 110-95 loss to Houston on Monday.

"That was a remarkable win. That's an understatement," coach Terry Stotts said. "I think it just kind of shows the type of character that we have on this team."
You know, the "clutch" PG who drills 3s all night long while the other PG commits silly fouls, gets dumb T's, misses FTs and bricks game-winning hero-heaves.
That character.

Their last game: W @ MIA, 91-87

ESPN said:
Philadelphia (4-23) gave up its second-fewest points this season while rallying for a 91-87 victory over Miami on Tuesday, its second of seven consecutive road contests. The 76ers, who had only eight players available, trailed by 23 points with less than eight minutes left in the third quarter before outscoring the Heat 45-18 the rest of the way, yielding just nine points in the final period.

"It gives us a lot of confidence," Carter-Williams told the team's official website after providing 20 points and a season-high six steals. "We know on the road all we've got it each other. So we go out there and play together and play with pride, with everyone talking, and we never give up."

Gramps' Prediction Game

Power Rankings/What to watch: Yeah, right. They're normally bad, and they're worse will all the "talent" they have out tonight. Let's face it, Tony Wroten is one half of the 2 NBA-caliber talents they have right now (that's right, MCW, you may not get minutes from Wild Will if you were in POR, which may be why we passed on you). But as Strenuus said below, any one of the guys who will start can go for 25, and after the fiasco at MIN earlier this season, I'm not taking any scrubs for granted. That said, we're as close to putting up a Bilbo tonight as we're going to get this year, with a depleted, worst-team-in-the-league, at home, day-after-Christmas game in front of the best fans in the NBA. We may see Claver in the 3rd quarter tonight.

So, we are playing Philly's D-League affiliate? Who are those guys?

The fact that we have at best split the season series with this sad franchise since 2001 is pathetic. No excuse to lose a game like this.

I like how so many of them just look confused, like they took the portrait photo right after the coach explained the offense to them.

Looks like a trap game to me. Hope this team stomps on them early and puts it away in a hurry.

If there is anything to bitch about its this!!! Why the hell do "no-name players" go off and do so well against us?!?!

Well in sure outside of Portland Blazers fan base players like CJ and Freeland are no name players too.

cj does a radio show that's nationwide once a week and a lottery pick. I'm sure ONE person outside of the blazers fan base has listened to him and knows who he is.

but, you know, you generalize, so i didn't expect you to grasp simple logic.

meh..gotta keep it interesting..

Kaman out for "Family" I wonder how soon congratulation will be in order? We all knew Rolo would be MIA..not surprised about LMA....what this does not mention is if Nic will be playing..so could bee worse

Watching CSNW live stream of Damian warming up, nails 9 3's in a row...run, stop & pop!
