I thought they played really hard tonight. There were especially gutsy performances from Vonleh, Aminu, and Plumlee. Lillard was aggressive. CJ had an off night but he was trying.

Did CJ get a capri sun for trying?

They care this year too. Probably more than you. Possibly more than me. This is their legacy. For most of their adult lives, they won't be playing basketball. This is their chance to make their mark.
If they're not punching something they don't care enough.

We amazingly don't I believe but for fucks sake we have a trade dame and cj thread. The only two guys on our team that do something. Everybody else is replaceable and should be replaced but no trade threads for them up

That's because Lillard and McCollum have trade value. Players like Crabbe don't. You can't trade what other teams desperately don't want.

Hi, my name is Allen Crabbe. I scored 4 points tonight, and I earn over 18 million dollars a year.

Hi my name is Paul Allen/Chris McGowan/Neil Olshey. I paid Allen Crabbe 18 million dollars per yer to score 4 points tonight ...

Lost my buzz. Somewhat numbed.

But this is post of the year material

* Liked seeing Noah get some run - though he has to learn how to go up quicker (and speed his game up in general). He misses a lot of opportunities gathering himself.

* Plumlee will always be welcome on any Blazers team I watch. The guy is a tough & a hard worker. Shames other guys on the team with his work ethic.

* Allen Crabbes play style makes me want to club puppies with baby seals.

* Nice game from the chief. Good to see him reducing the outside shots and taking it inside angrily.

* I've noticed that 'Jesus Son of God' hasn't been posting in game threads. Perhaps this is why our game play has gone to hell?

Dear lord that last sentence is pure gold. SO MANY LEVELS.

It reminds my of how Harkless and Crabbe were playing last year.....before they got paid. Plums is in a contract year. I hate being skeptical but....

I actually think he's playing at or around his typical level. His numbers really aren't all that different from any other point in his other three years (18-19 PER, nearly identical Per36, shooting %, etc.).

Some observations from the box-score:
*CJ +13, Dame -12: Maybe Dame should spend more time worrying about this than his shoe deals or rap career. And what he should worry about is not CJ outplaying him but him doing a better job cause Dame worrying about CJ outplaying him is I think part of the problem.
*ET 2-10 shooting, -13
*Meyers DNP. Hey Stotts if you're basing your decisions on what fans say in this forum, I think you should have been fired years ago

To summarise, we have a worthless coach, a starting PG with too much ego, our 3rd best offensive player doesn't play and we lose to the fucking Sixers. These Blazers are right now an embarrassment

I'm at the game. We lost on a missed layup. Wow.
I was on a delayed feed and when I posted that, the game was not over; we had four seconds and I thought we had to get lucky sometime and actually would win the game.

You know what's embarrassing? Using raw plus-minus from a single game and pretending it means something.

Basketball gods have spoken: you have to rebuild like the 76ers did, not by overpaying mediocre talent or overhyped stars who are at very best 2nd options on a championsip team.

3 pt shot at the end should not have counted. Heartbreaking short shot free throw.

Man.
This one is a stinger because overall they played better. Much more intensity and edge overall. I hope they don't start thinking, "man. I gave it my all and it still wasn't enough". That could be a moral killer that can spin out of control and take over confidence in players.

This is a tough loss no doubt about it.

Can you please provide concrete examples verifying our starting pg's "too much ego".

I can wait for a few years.
