GO BLAZERS!!!

In the nick of time! HCP was just about to make one! haha.

Not sure about the starting line-up. Brook Lopez, KG, and D-Will all have ankle injuries. Pierce has a groin injury. These 4 guys all missed the previous game against the Clippers. Joe Johnson was the only regular starter to play that game.

I think pierce and Garnett def play. The other two unlikely.

Btw guys I'd also like to point out a win vs nets means 4-0 trip! Go Blazers!

I don’t even know what to make of Broke-lyn. Darkwebs listed all the probably scratches for the game (dwill, garnet, lopez, pierce), 3-7 is terrible, and they are below average in too many stat categories to mention. Slow and old.

This Nets/Geriatrics team isn’t going to run much on Portland - so forget them killing Portland in the fast break or chase Portland off the 3-point line with great success. Speaking of threes, only four players for the Nets have been able to hit from deep this season, with only D. Williams (.375) shooting over 35%. Call Batum a wash percentage wise with DWill, and Portland still has Wright (.48), Wes (.50), and Lillard (.424) to bring the rain. Mo is on track the past four games from deep at 67%, but needs a few more games to wash the stink off season stats thanks to a poor start.

You can guess where the Nets will get most of their points – in the paint. The only real bright spot is the evil Lopez twin. Brook is shooting .574% this season and averaging 20 points per game, but again, will he even play?

They are also coming off a 3 game road trip out west, gimpy if not broken, and people say the hardest game of a road trip is your first home game back from it.

I just hope the Blazers don't pass it to Brook, thinking he is Robin.

While the Nets have been under-performing, and have loaded up on older vets who are more injury prone, I feel like they are a very dangerous team at any given time. They have a great deal of combined talent, skill, knowledge, and experience. DWill is still a star PG, and even though Pierce and Garnett are old, they have proven they can turn back the clock on occasion. If B. Lopez plays, he's clearly the superior center to Robin, although I'd love seeing those two play head on right now.

I just see the Nets as a team that could potentially be very lethal if they could get healthy and gel. I don't think Garnett was too far off when he said they just needed some time to figure things out and play like you'd expect them to. I also recall Williams pretty handily dominating Lillard last season. He was all over him denying passes, blowing by him on offense, and I remember many times Lillard couldn't get the ball past half court without coughing it up.

I hope for, and expect a win, but there's a lot of potential here for things to go wrong for the Blazers, especially with the Nets lineup being in a state of flux right now. Also, Kidd is a wildcard at coach, IMO. He lacks a great deal of experience still, yet he's also played under Stotts as an assistant coach and is familiar with his offensive schemes.

I don't like so many starters being out. They better not take this team lightly

Just finished watching the raptor game. I gotta say our team is damn good. There was soooooo much pressure and we still pulled it out. I keep saying that last season, that would have been a loss. Our team really looks like their mental toughness is down right scary. Almost as scary as Brock saying he's not carlito and carlito saying he's not mixum.

Going to this game with my husband. $23 tickets in the rafters. Should be fun.

Even I will be impressed if they beat the nets.

Ya this seems like everything is pointing towards a loss tonight. Pierce/KG should be back and well rested after getting their last game off. They're back home, and we're coming off a tough OT game and the team got in pretty late last night. Not sure what's up with Deron, though.

If we win tonight, I'll be ready to crown this team. :MARIS61:

Nets are 2-1 at home. Just like us they only have one home loss. They've had a lot of difficult games so far, I expect them to turn things around. Unfortunately I think this will be a loss for us.

Why'd we get in late last night? The game was early as hell.

Anyone know what the stats are for the Lopez brothers in head to head matches?

"This will be the eighth time twin brothers Robin and Brook have played each other in their careers, and the first since Robin joined the Blazers. Robin holds a slim 4-3 edge in the head-to-head matchup, but Brook has better individual statistics as he's averaging 18.6 points, 8.0 rebounds and 1.6 blocks, while Robin is averaging 11.1 points and 4.4 rebounds and 1.3 blocks." - Joe Freeland/OregonLive

Thanks for that! Winning is what matters!

Lopez - out
Williams - out
AK47 - out
