I thought Magloire would be more effective and the whole idea of signing him was that he would be that missing piece and now you would contend but so far it has been proven otherwise.

RJ, Kidd and SWAT are the only ones that are playing with passion right now.

I really don't get why we didn't keep Magloire in. He was rebounding well, and playing 384295823 times better than Allen. Malik sucks.

Yea I don't understand either, I guess its Franks fault, we all know that Magloire is better than the other centers you guys have.

Also its time that you start Sean. Your third best player. (with vince being out)

and that's frustrating, as I don't see any reason why Wright, Nachbar and other guys off the bench don't play with the same passion. In this game Wright regressed to him rookie-self and Nachbar to him NewOrlean-self

Re: NBA: NEW JERSEY (4-3) at BOSTON (6-0)

Also want to say that what hurt us in the first half was that Rondo was our only PG tonight with House being out. (and I saw that most of you knew that fact by reading the previous pages)

But I'm glad we won though, nice win for us, we're not where we want to be yet but we're getting there.

And good luck to you guys and hopefully Vince makes a speedy recovery.

BOSTON (Ticker) -- The Boston Celtics used their overlookeddefense and a balanced scoring attack en route to their beststart in 35 years.

Kevin Garnett scored 16 points and the Celtics forced the NewJersey Nets into abysmal shooting as they defeated theirAtlantic division rival for the second time in less than a week,91-69, on Wednesday.

Paul Pierce added 15 points as Boston had six players in doublefigures to improve to 7-0 for the first time since the 1972-73season.

The "Big Three" of Garnett, Pierce and Ray Allen, who combinedfor 73 points in Boston's 112-101 win over New Jersey onSaturday, combined for a season-low 35 on Wednesday.

However, the Celtics came into the game holding opponents to aleague-best 39.7 percent shooting and forced the Nets into just33 percent (24-of-72) from the field in this one.

New Jersey also committed 20 turnovers as Boston came up with 15steals.

Rajon Rondo and Tony Allen each scored 13 points for theCeltics, who outscored the Nets, 55-35, in the second half.

Pierce hit a jumper as time expired in the second quarter togive the Celtics their first lead of the first half at 36-34 atthe break.

Boston used a 10-0 run that bridged the end of the third quarterinto the beginning of the fourth to take control of the game at68-54 with 10:18 to play.

Richard Jefferson scored 21 points and Jason Kidd had 19, ninerebounds and seven assists for the Nets, who have lost threegames in a row.

Thats pretty good, knowing that our bench will do their part and make shots when our Big Three are having an off day.

Eddie House might not be your typical point guard, but he's perfectly capable of playing the position. Tony Allen is not.

BTW, congratulations on making such a fantastic post.

Exactly what I meant. Rondo was our only PG in the game. Allen is not a pg, and Pruitt only played in the last minute. House is a PG in my book and has been doing a great job at that for the past 6 games.

Re: NBA: NEW JERSEY (4-3) at BOSTON (6-0)

House is not a PG, but he can imitate one.

Only if you consider awkwardly dribbling the ball up the court and then passing it, like a hot potato, a legit way to play the PG position.

Kevin Garnett scored 16 points and the Celtics forced the NewJersey Nets into abysmal shooting as they defeated theirAtlantic division rival for the second time in less than a week,91-69, on Wednesday.

"Defensively, I thought we were terrific all night except for thefirst four or five minutes of the game, and that's what kept usin this game," Boston coach Doc Rivers said.

Paul Pierce added 15 points as Boston had six players in doublefigures to improve to 7-0 for the first time since the 1972-73season.

The "Big Three" of Garnett, Pierce and Ray Allen, who combinedfor 73 points in Boston's 112-101 win over New Jersey onSaturday, combined for a season-low 45 on Wednesday.

"Well, you know what happens is, when you have great players, the reason why they are called great is they make other guysbetter," New Jersey coach Lawrence Frank said. "They augmentand they enhance the team, and that's why those guys arespecial."

However, the Celtics came into the game holding opponents to aleague-best 39.7 percent shooting and forced the Nets into just33 percent (24-of-72) from the field in this one.

"Defensively we were so active, we had so much intensity aroundthe ball, they had to take tough shots," Allen said. "Everybodywas rotating, everybody was all over the ball when they triedto make a move, we were all over them."

New Jersey also committed 20 turnovers as Boston came up with 15steals.

Rajon Rondo and Tony Allen each scored 13 points for theCeltics, who outscored the Nets, 55-35, in the second half.

"It's good to know we have a solid bench and, if we're going towin, we're going to need a solid bench," Garnett said.

"I think we were just pretty bad on offense," Kidd said. "But Ithought all night we played pretty good defense, especially onthe road where we gave ourselves a chance. We had some greatlooks, but they just didn't fall for us tonight."

New Jersey played for the second straight game without guardVince Carter, who is out indefinitely with a sprained rightankle that he suffered in the Nets' loss to Boston on Saturday.

Re: NBA: NEW JERSEY at BOSTON

i fully expect the Nets to continue to struggle offensively and lose a majority of their games without Carter. Hell, the only reason I'll even watch the next few games is because Sean Williams is fucking BEASTIN! 8 blocks 14 rebounds and 20 points over the last two games....thats just plain sick.

You guys can check out my game recap by clicking this link.

What a defensive effort.

Sure, I would love to read a Celtic fan's thoughts on a game my favorite team got routed in. Really, great effort and detail on the article but just a bit subjective.
