Correct, this year, it is the refs discretion whether they call it a foul or a delay of game. But that is the emphasis to prevent teams from disrupting play the other direction.

I was under the impression if the player physically affects the inbound than it is a foul and not delay of the game. Every call can be considered subjective, but I don't necessarily think it is solely up to the officials discretion on this particular violation.

The whole team plays vertical. I credit Stotts, and the coaches. Freeland is just a faster learner.
