GAME THREAD: HEAT @ BLAZERS - 12/28/13, SATURDAY, 7 PM (PST), KGW

No need to really freak out over losing a game to the Heat, they are a good team even without LeBron. If Wade makes half of the shots he took in the second half we lose this game by 12 pts. The Blazers are going to lose another game before the playoffs so....no need to blow up the team tomorrow or fire the coach

But we really need to blow up the team and fire the coach.

Don't need to say it. The box score speaks for itself.

Miami bench: 34

Blazer bench: 18

Yep. We got the bad bench tonight. Wright with multiple misses (two airballs iirc), Mo with possibly his lowest moment as an NBA player tripping over the ball (though Bosh just falling over later on was hilarious too). Too few players in the bench rotation to afford such streaky shooters. We need someone consistent, be he slasher or bomber.

The odds are with me... :chestbump:

Not so much. lol ;)

I think you mean "guards and wings off the bench", b/c the Near-'Nilla Gorillas were 5-9, 11pt/17reb/1ast in 24 minutes, with good D, 3 PFs and 1 TO combined.

Can't ask for much more from your bench bigs.

Totally; it's not them at all, it's the short half of the bench lineup. I'd much rather see CJ and Crabbe than Bad Wright and Bad Mo.

Mo played a pretty great first half. Bad Mo ate him at halftime. :(

Your fascination with my posts is flattering.... Nice shot but Lillard. Tonight the odds caught up and the buzzer beater at the rim didn't go in. No worries.

I am fascinating. You are confusing FT% and 3PT% with at the rim ally-oop %.

I am? That is amazing that know you even know what I'm thinking. Except that would be an incorrect assumption. Nice guess though. Try again anytime.

Turnovers. Turnovers. Turnovers. Jesus how many bad passes can happen in a game...sheesh. We played great in stretches and then terrible in stretches. That's the difference between a championship team and not one. They can mess around all game then lock us down. We however can't afford that luxury. I wish Lillard, coach and co would figure out how to get him some more looks out of those double teams.

Not as many of those turnovers were forced like people seem to think. Re-watch it. Many careless passes.

They were WTF are you doing passes the moment they left the player's hands....Williams was the biggest culprit but Lillard got in on the action as well. I think Portland needs to get a steadier backup PG in there like Earl Watson. Williams hurts the team unless he is on fire from outside.

You honestly think this team would be better off with WATSON in the game instead of MO!!!!!!! Damn.......

Mo would undoubtedly have a better box score than Watson, and can get off a shot whenever he wants. I doubt Watson would have as many negative plays, both the ones that show up in the box score and the ones that don't. Watson would also play better defense. Stott's thinks Mo is a better option, and he knows more about it than I do. Case closed.

Until CJ gets up to speed. Then we will have something to debate. :)
