Allan Crabbe had the highest +/- for the Blazers tonight at +10.

He should. His shots didn't go in, but I thought he played great defense. He made some nice passes too. Wright was hot garbage once again, so he certainly shouldn't earn anything other than more time on the bench.

Crabbe is playing exactly like Batum did when he first got here. Got decent looks, didn't always go down but made up for it with great D.

Maybe Stotts should give Claver a shot at SF. Crabbe is not going to get many shots anyway. Claver is a hustle guy.

for crabbe lovers, they can say the team is 1-0 when he starts.

Anyone else hear Mike Barret give a shout out for Blazer Wookee when they showed him on the block party station?

Oh yea! The "bearded guy eating popcorn!" Funny because I was wondering if that was him right before Barrett said that.

Some Highlights

I don't think there's a timetable for his return. It's day-to-day.

See link for more details.

Now we'll get to see if the "cupping" treatment really works

Will he be a sting ray...

Or a bowl of chowder?

crab+-+9A.JPG

over under on when the first 'crabbe sucks' post happens? i say 4 offensive possessions... knowing how fickle and over reactions are the norm.

Greetings from press row. One of the Dancers knocked the soda out of my hand while I was walking to my seat. Not sure what that means for tonight's game.

Crabbe is best served with butter... fingers.

+/- of -4 for Crabbe! Freakin' bum!

Crabbe's PER took a hit

L*kers lose. Its a great day being a Blazers Fan!

I foresee about 60 more great days in our immediate future.

we're still going to win, but damn.

I can't believe how much better Crabbe is than Batum. Crabbe completely shut down MKG, made the great assist without getting Batum's turnovers, and took a shot in the 1st half! That's 1 more shot than Batum ever takes.

Casey needs to reverse the jinx and spill a cup of pop on a Blazer dancer.

Well, I think the ideal situation would be Lance having a really good game and us winning.

loving the lazy passes

LoL CJ sucks

1st bucket in 5 years

I think our lazy passes is to honor Batum.

The only reason CJ gets burn is because he was the 10th pick in the draft.

So far I've seen three really obvious traveling violations that haven't been called.

We miss Nic

this is not good, Mav, this is NOT good.

tg18.jpg

Might as well be cjs first year. He's going to be great.

still gonna win. not worried.

How many 30 point first quarters have we given up this year?

Always play shitty defense the first quarter. 2-4 is where we dominate

Dear, Hornets...

Crab a dabba doo

These Hornets uniforms are such an eye sore... it's not 1993 anymore..

Fuck it... I'm just pissed...

Oh shut up, like you predicted we were going to lose tonight by 20?

That and 1 sums up the first half... Everything goes in.

Gotta give the Hornets credit, this is a total beat down.

You called?

Looks like defeating the mighty Lakers gave the Hornets a bit of confidence.

Good thing Batum isn't playing.

Blankey needs to throw some chairs around.

CJ McMissyPants

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I kind of want to see Meyers.

Hahaha shout out for wookee

BlazerWookee with the shout-out!

Wook with the shout out eating popcorn like a madman. Win or loss, we all win.

Wookee getting a shout out.

Barrett just referred to someone by their message board name.

Especially workman! Wtf he used to be an NBA player too!

Steve Blake = Edward Norton + Eminem?

Crabbe a team leading +10

Was never much of a Freeland, fan, but he's been earning a spot in the rotation over the last couple games...

Joel Freeland just took all of Wright's minutes..what a game he's had

Now we're playing some D.

what a game.

Freeland and Blake MVPs

I never had any doubt that Portland would come back and win this game.

Dodged a bullet tonight.

That was just silly.

Hope we have some gas left tomorrow.

OMG. What a hilarious ending.

Wow we dodged a huge bullet tonight

You're welcome!

well, i give us about a 20% shot of winning tomorrow. And thats being generous.

If I see Wright playing anymore at all in the rest of the season I will rip my eyeballs out

Players like Aldridge and Lopez need to respect Charlotte now. They have to play their best from the start and not just mail it in.

Stotts needs to impress this on his players. Charlotte is for real. Get off your asses and play hard from the start.

It's funny....was just over at the Hornets forums reading what they had to say about this game and they think their team is horrible.

They also have a term "Alffense" that I think is pretty clever haha

They did seem to force feed him late in the game, rather than do what got them the huge lead in the first place.

Interesting how Stotts seems to have given up on the idea of Lopez or Kaman guarding Jefferson. They had to put LA on Howard in the Rockets series because Lopez couldn't handle him.

fyi, im not a jinxer... called the win all game. you may thank me.

Good job by Stotts with the rotations in the 2nd half. I still not get Barton being behind CJ, Crabbe and Wright in the rotation and there should be minutes for TRob even if it means a bit more rest for the other bigs but I liked how Stotts made his bizarre decisions work in the 2nd half by sticking with these players, who became more confident, relaxed, and by making some bold moves like keeping Joel in the game at the end.

I started hating Dorell Wright early last season, now it seems everyone is all aboard that choo-choo train.

Wanna take back your comments about Aldridge now?

Also, I think Stotts was saving T.Rob for the Denver game

For real... He adds nothing to what we do, when he shoots it seriously looks like he has retard strength because the ball jumps off the rim so hard.

Let's just trade him to Detroit...

Nice 2nd half defense. We held them to 15 4th quarter points and 36 2nd half points. If we could learn how to start a game with that good D we could be pretty damn good.

I wish Dame didn't like Wright. I think that's the only reason he's still a Blazer

Just give me great second half defense like we have been doing. All we have to do is trade buckets in the first half and stay within 15 (or 20+ with some teams apparently..)

I think LA is improving and has been since the start of the season. He still can get better, but he did look almost good on defense in the 2nd half.

About Claver, he could be a very good backup PF, he may be worth a try as a big SF but I don't think that's his position. I think his real chance would only come when/if one of our bigs is out with injury, I would put him ahead of Leonard but still behind 5 other inside players.
