GAME NOTES:
  • The Blazers have won 7 straight at home.
  • The Mavs are playing their final game of a 6-game road trip, which consisted of 3 pairs of back-to-backs.
  • LaMarcus has scored an average of 31 points a game vs his hometown team.
  • This could possibly be a preview of a our playoff series, as Blazers are currently the 6th seed and the Mavs are curretnly the 3rd. It would be the same match-up from 8 seasons ago, where the 3rd-seeded Mavs met the 6th-seeded Blazers in the 2003 NBA Playoffs.
  • Previous meetings against the Mavericks this season:
    98-103 Loss in Dallas on 12/5/10
    81-84 Loss in Dallas on 1/4/11

It will be interesting to see how the Mavs come out. Do they kill themselves to finish their six game road trip on a high note, or do they already have one foot back in Dallas? I think if we're somehow able to drop the hammer on them in the 1st quarter they'll roll over. Of course, last time they started 11-11, so I think it's unlikely we'll be able to do it.

Let's hope they're tired. It's been a long trip for them. Six games with three B2Bs has to take a toll on a veteran team.
 
Chandler will sit out tonight according to sources from DAL on twitter because of a stiff back. Also, Kidd hurt himself on the last play of the game yesterday, and will have limited mins tonight.

This is crazy.

SAS without Duncan, Parker, Manu, McDyess

PHL without Iguodala

ORL without Howard

...just in March. Some of that luck is catching back up to us.

How many games have we played without Greg, Brandon and other key players over the past 3 years?????? It's about time we were on this end of it!

To be honest, I'd rather face these teams at full strength with GO and Brandon fully healthy instead of this.
 
In the last 2 1/2 to 3 months, the Mavericks have beaten very few playoff teams. The few they beat are in the East.
