GAME THREAD: NETS @ BLAZERS - FEB. 26, 2014, WEDNESDAY, 7:00 PM (PST), CSNNW

Welcome to our community

With most other teams, I'd feel bad. However the players on the Nyets were such pricks when they used to be good, I'm just giggling.

The only thing this game was missing was one of the Blazers crawling on all fours in front of the Brooklyn bench barking like a dog.

I did like Watson hacking Teague with 7 seconds to go just to tell Teague to quit going around him.

I'm so happy for our bench players to have this much fun and success on the court. They work hard and they deserve this reward.

Dame was our 4th leading scorer and had 0 assists. If you tell anyone that would've happened before the game, they would all have told you we were the ones losing by 40.

It was great to see our bench actually outplay the other team's, in fact our bench was dominant. Where has this been all season?

I hope LA comes back rested and provides a post presence, because he'd been forcing way too many contested perimeter shots. During the Blazers skid, they offense had ground to a halt and they seemed to want to stand around and watch LaMarcus do his turn around fade away crap. Hopefully they do not return to that.

I also think Barton and Claver should be regulars off the bench. The small ball 2nd unit has looked a lot better so far than it ever has this season.

Our 3rd stringers dropped 42 in that last quarter. Lol.

No expletives? Is this really sinobas?

thats a good sign before the texas trip.. this trip maybe key for the home court advantage in the playoffs.. so go up to 7 straight before the dallas game.. winning ryhtm is so important for this jumpshooting team.. push push push..

The shot chart looks pretty nice. I'd estimate that roughly half our shots came in the paint. It looks like Will shot more shots in the paint than LMA would in a week!

This game is also really good for our team psyche. It can suck being a bench player, practicing all the time but never sniffing the court. Tonight they got some serious run and showed what they can do. I bet the mood in the lockerroom is great right now.

Amazing game. Much to be happy about tonight! The Nets may stink - but this was still impressive.

Cheers and welcome to the board!

Such a great game just imagine if we hardly ever had to play starters in 4th quarter.

Will Barton had a +39 in 28.5 minutes... That'll help the ol' +/-

Fun fact, Will's middle name is Norman.

William Norman Barton III

Two Trail Blazers scored 20+ points off the bench (Barton, Williams) for the first time since Dec. 12, 2007 vs. GS (J. Jones, T. Outlaw).

Will Barton is the first NBA player with 20+ pts, 11+ reb, 4+ ast and 60%+ FG off the bench since Will Barton on April 7, 2013 vs. Dallas.

Portland's 44-point win (124-80) is tied for the eighth-largest margin of victory in franchise history.

That's fantastic. Even better is the Blazers won this game!

I don't want to start another thread, but does Barton move in front of CJ in the rotation? If anyone wants to have that discussion, please start the thread.

That is awesome! When he is on and under control, he brings things no other Blazer can. He would have had 5 assists if Claver hadn't fumbled a no-look pass that would have resulted in an easy lay-up. And when he is on, he is so much fun to watch.

The other thing is, he is so much longer and a better defender than CJ. It makes us not so undersized if he is in the backcourt and he can start the break off his own rebound. Not that he is great but he is always around the ball, deflecting passes, getting rebounds, following shots and providing energy. If he can just play smarter, he should get more minutes hands down.

At this point I'd have him backing batum, both can play point forward. Wright can play some stretch 4 as he's proven. We almost have too many good players all the sudden, its a good problem to have.

Well, yes... But we don't play Brooklyn 24 more times, so I dunno about too many good player.

That is awesome! When he is on an plays under control, he brings something no other player on the roster does. He has massive energy, is always around the ball, rebounds very well for his size and can start the break on his own. He is a solid passer....would have had 5 assists tonight if Claver doesn't fumble away a pretty no-look pass that should have resulted in a lay-in.

He is longer than CJ and player better (although not great) defense and keeps the Blazers from being so small if he is in the backcourt. He routinely does a bit of everything and if he can play like that, there certainly needs to be minutes for him.

Maybe Barton takes Wright's minutes backinuo Batum when everyone comes back.
