They just look HUNGRY
They do. What might be most impressive is the defense the two are playing. Allen has not hurt the team by being in the starting lineup. I think that is more than what he could have hoped for.
Our bench didn't let up either. This team wants it so bad, I love it.
Not. Surprised. He's always rebounded at a high rate.Holy shit Leonard had 12 rebounds...
So at what point do we say Dame is better than Brandon Roy?
I just got in. Saw we won which is good, but why was Aldridge out?
I don't believe he is...yet.
If they played one on one tomorrow, my money's on Dame
God forbidding, but if Damian were to go down with a career ending injury Monday versus the Pelicans. He would not go ahead of Roy in my all time Blazer list. I still have seen more amazing things out of Roy. And I'm one of Roy's biggest critics.
I don't know... it's hard to compare because Roy was leaned on so much to carry the team. LaMarcus wasn't the player that he is today, and we dealt Randolph after Roy's rookie season. McMillan rode Roy hard (har har) and counted on him to carry the team on offense. Dame has never really had to do that except for games like tonight. Lillard could be one of those guys that leads the league in scoring if he was the #1 option on offense all the time.
I agree with this. Roy was definitely better at creating his shot than Dame and better at splitting defenders and finishing at the rim. Nate had BRoy in Kobe mode, give him the ball and get out of the way. Dame may never score 50 pts in a game but unlike Roy, his teammates are more than role players supporting him. The last 3 seasons Roy played were sad to watch, he had several phenomenal years though and would have been a great player under any system given a decent pair of knees.
We were just too young.
I was at a fund raiser and couldn't watch the game. Did we play well?
Dame played amazing.
Leonard played well.
Amazingly we didn't play that well and still won handily.

Crabbe is Batums backup from here on out. That kid can play. Don't really mind the missed shots, he's a good shooter and his defense keeps impressing me. He's also got good rebounding instincts.
Leonard is Spencer Hawes, for half the cost. Play him even when LA is back. Trob looks like the odd man out. He'll probably be in china soon anyways. Barton still annoys me. Mccollums shot was off but he brought it defensively.
Crabbe is a lot faster than I thought he was. The other one who has surprised me with the ball in his hands and his speed is McCollom.
As they say, the kids are all right. Crabbe looks SO MUCH BETTER than last year it's not even funny. He's this year's Dante Cunningham... with a three-ball. So, I guess, like, way better than Dante in some respects.
I like the progress Leonard is making. I see why we picked up his extension rather than T-Rob's.
CJ had a pretty clutch coffin corner three to prevent Brooklyn from getting too close, and generally played good passing-lane pesky defense.
Steals are worth a lot in the grand scheme of things, so it's good to see two players (Crabbe and CJ) focusing on getting them for us.
