I'll keep this short and simple.
It was the Detroit game that unlocked Devin Harris. Before that game, he was a "scrub", "Starbury V2", and decidedly "not a PG". 24 freethrow attempts and 38 points later, that all changed. He became a rising star.
Having bested AI and the Pistons, he gave the League a break to catch their breath before he went on to squash the Hawk's hopes of a nearly perfect record by dropping 63 points, 18 assists, and 25 freethrows on them in barely more than 24 hours time.
And on the annual, fear-inducing, Thanksgiving West Coast trip he simultaneously calmed the hearts of Nets fans around the world and shocked critic after critic by bringing the Nets to an improbable 2 games over 500.
How you ask? First, by hitting a clutch turnaround jumpshot over the Kings, and then, sensing the bleeding of Deron Williams and Steve Nash, Devin Harris foamed at the mouth and exploded for 34 and 47 points on the Jazz and Suns. First it was the East that knew... and now even the Western teams knew the truth... no conference was safe from Devin Harris.
In fact, now with averages of 24 points, 6 assists, a nearly 500 record, and poised to wreak havoc in the playoffs, some believe that he has even entered the "NBA's Elite". Quite a turnaround eh?
