Game Thread: New Jersey Nets vs Indiana Pacers (Sat. 11/8, 7:00 PM EST)

Quick thoughts:
- Boone cannot start over Lopez! Come on now Frank! Boone can be an excellent back up, but he is not a starter!
- Bobby Simmons has disapointed so far. Can't knock down his shots consistently, gets killed defensively and is slow as fuck. RJ>Simmons
- Yi has potential to be a star but he is clueless right now. Needs to learn to play better D and know when your jumper isn't going down to take it to the basket! Also if you are going to foul someone, fucking foul your opponent, don't just give him a little push, man the fuck up Yi.
- VC carried us in the first half, but then he went ice cold and noone picked him up.
- We need Harris back ASAP.
- Hayes should start over Simmons, are you kidding me Frank?
- Najera is sucking ass now and Ryan Anderson has earned the right to get some minutes. Every time he is in the game he makes something good happen.
- Swat should be traded now that his value is as high as it will ever be
- Boone seriously needs to learn to make those goddam freethrows.
- If the coaching is incosistent, then what do you expect from the players? This has got to be Frank's last year as our head coach.

So.. When is Stromile Swift coming back? Atleast he can catch and dunk.

i didn't get Yi tonight: if your jump shot doesn't go, why try it every time you get the ball? maybe he's a star in China, here - he's just inconsistent, underachieving rookie.

He's not a rookie, nor is he underachieving.

I wasn't posting during the game, so I don't know if this has been covered.

But how about that Dumpy? Dumpy, you've got 'em in the palm of your hand, hanging on your every email. Marv even came back and mentioned you a SECOND time some moments after he read your last message on air, so you know you are in their heads.

Don't know what your next plan of attack is, but you have to come back at them. They're waiting. We're waiting.

Boone had a bad game but Lopez has yet to earn the right to start over him...Both have been inconsistent thus far and Frank isn't likely to shake the lineup up just because of tonight. Had Devin been in this might have been a totally different game for Boone, however Dooling was forced into the starting lineup and instead of having an offense the team starting chucking jumpers and freestyling offensively. Both Boone and Sean several times were ahead of the break looking for a pass and were missed by Dooling. Harris makes those plays.

I like the idea of unleashing Brooke tonight, I want him to kick the crap out of Foster.
Speaking of Brooke Lopez, did Ian and Jim decide on a nickname for him?
Did anyone come up with "Bro-Lo" or "B-Lo" ?

ok, I'll try to go through this little by little. I came up with "watch out B-Lo!" when he dunks."

I was at a wine festival and I just woke up. With a headache.

When I think of the name "B-Lo" I think of this: [video=youtube;mCtwXS4HQZ0]

But isn't part of the problem the fact that when Lopez is in the game he gets limited touches at best? They have him setting screens at the top of the key and thats about it. He doesnt get the ball when he actually has good position or when he's cutting or rolling. He only gets the ball when theres a few seconds left on the clock. go figure.

Has any one else noticed that the "dribble drive" offense has been nonexistent?

as far as I can tell, they aren't even running it once per game, which is just ridiculous. Whenever anyone drives, they should just be aware of where everyone else is on the court, and whether they are open. Isn't that just a common basketball skill? Court awareness?

I just showed the clip to Mrs. Dumpy. She responded, "Oh, Dumpy, you've gotten yourself into quite a mess."

They ran it on several possessions last night. Of course it didn't look worth a crap, but the only time it ever really looked good was in the first quarter in London.

Really? I've seen it in Detroit and Washington (the games I watched), and not just one or two players either.
