I love that Barton came out for 56 seconds and calmly drained a jumper on his first possession..given a chance, we've got a talented bench.

Minny's bench is disgusting on defense though.

The refs fucked over LMA tonight. Ridiculous how the NBA is trying so hard to get a white superstar.

Stern loves the beach boys.

Trail Blazers PR ‏@TrailBlazersPR Portland has reached its win total from the previous year (33) faster than any other time in team history by games (44) and date (Jan. 25).

I dunno, but that is weird. And we always end up playing pretty sloppily when we go there.

A win tomorrow would be gravy. 8 games in 12 days, and 5-2 so far on that excessive quirk on the schedule.

34 points from the bench. I love the Alternate Universe.

Yet it will never be talked abut, I'm sure.

That's really impressive.

So this is the biggest bounce back from a bad record in Blazers history? Kick ass!

33 wins feels like a big big milestone to me this year. I'm glad it happened so soon.

NBA history!

Close but depends if we can have a monster finish.

PHX bouncing back after they got Nash is pretty hard to beat.

From 29 wins in 03-04 to 62 in 04-05

Read the tweet again. It said "any other team" in terms of games and date. Not overall record at the end of the season. That's all I was talking about.

Edit: Fuck. I read it wrong. My bad. Another fail tonight.

The Bench. They stepped up tonight. It was their energy that stretched the lead in the second and fourth. Not the starters. Thomas Robinson's stats aren't mindblowing. But to me he continues to grow and grow. Love his prescence. CJ McCollum. Both he and the team are holding him back. The team on multiple occasions will not even pass him the ball when he is open. He to me isn't aggressive enough. I know he is just playing in the flow of the offense. Which is good. He just has so much more. Both he and TRob do.

On this note. I understand why LA is excited and why he thinks next year is their year. I expect TRob and CJ to really blow up next year. Give Dame one more year under his belt with LA's leadership. The league will need to be be aware. Be very aware.

Fucking Jaynes knocking Aldridge for getting 6 rebounds. He irritates the hell out of me.

Think about it this way. We outrebounded them by 10 and we won. If you want to look at some stats, Love had just 1 offensive rebound (he averages a little over 3) and it was an air ball where he was in a terrible position to get the rebound if it had hit the rim. I credit LaMarcus for keeping Love off the offensive boards, and sacrificing his own stats in the process so his team could grab the loose rebounds instead of Love. Nic, Wes, and Robin all had above average rebounding games tonight. Love also only made 4 baskets tonight. He was a non-factor. He got shut down. LaMarcus had an off game, but still managed 9 FGs and 21 points and led his team to victory. That's the difference between Love and Aldridge.

Re: GAME THREAD: WOLVES @ BLAZERS - JAN. 25, 2014, SATURDAY, 7 PM (PST), CSNNW AND NB

LOL Jaynes having an emotional break down on Talking Ball. It's too bad Haynes can't articulate better how foolish and bias Jaynes is talking out of both sides of his mouth.

Jaynes argued that more people think Love is better because of the All-Star vote, and neither he or Haynes realizes Love's Chinese shoe deal. If Jaynes has to tell people "I'm not a Homer", he's a Homer.

Love fails to close out games. He's not a "go get it done" guy when it matters. His defense at the rim is the worst of any starting big (allowing 68% FG% in the restricted area). All personal stats, poor team results. He looks like Blake Griffin in the post, both relying on physical ability with a shallow skill set by NBA standards.

LA is the better power forward. And I think LA has another notch. Not so sure about Kevin.

We won. Man the fuck up and take credit for it.

Re: GAME THREAD: WOLVES @ BLAZERS - JAN. 25, 2014, SATURDAY, 7 PM (PST), CSNNW AND NB

Odd. Dwight alleges Chris is Pro Portland. But I think that is his problem. He is Pro Portland when it comes to Kevin Love, it's roots and/or history. It wouldn't surprise me if he and Stan Love are close on the side.

Another solid 4th quarter by the Blazers. Parts of the 3rd I was getting a little frustrated. I hate losing so many of the 50-50 balls.
And the intensity on D was sporadic. But they turned it on again.

MO's floater in the lane is money. He has to teach it to Damian.

Re: GAME THREAD: WOLVES @ BLAZERS - JAN. 25, 2014, SATURDAY, 7 PM (PST), CSNNW AND NB

This should be interesting; I generally like what OneLife has to say. Let's read on.

ZZZZzzzzzzz.....

:)

I just think Dwight is biased to those things that occured years ago and to Portland's grass roots. Don't think he is being objective when it comes to the two power forwards.

You can watch these two play and come to the conclusion atleast in my opinion LA is the better player. And to me it's athleticism that not only puts him over the top but gives that one extra level he can reach. A level Kevin can't.

Dwight has a microscopic penis so its all good.

Re: GAME THREAD: WOLVES @ BLAZERS - JAN. 25, 2014, SATURDAY, 7 PM (PST), CSNNW AND NB

Love is pretty damn good. A lot better than I ever thought he would be. He is better than LMA in a couple categories and LMA is better than Love in a few others. Overall I would take LMA. And I think some of Love's teammates would say the same. It would be interesting to get Dante's opinion on them both.
