Antivirus pioneer John McAfee, 75, is charged with money laundering and fraud for 'using Twitter to promote cryptocurrencies that he was secretly invested in to inflate their value then sell them for a profit'
  • McAfee, 75, is still in Spain where he was arrested in October last year at the request of US tax authorities
  • Now, he has been hit with 7 counts of fraud and money laundering by the DoJ
  • They say he was involved in two cryptocurrency schemes between 2017 and 2018
  • He is accused of using Twitter to tout cryptocurrencies he was secretly invested in to drive up their value
  • The complaint does not name any of the currencies - McAfee tweeted about at least three
  • On one occasion, he gave a disclaimer that he was invested in one of them
  • He tweeted right before the currencies spiked in value and allegedly sold at the peak
  • Prosecutors say his team then tried to liquidate the crypto on the stock exchange and were turned down

I think oil has had it's best run already. If it goes up much more the Saudis or Russians will turn up the pumps. Some oil companies like Pioneer or Exxon might be decent plays still but I think the time to buy has already passed. Plus oil is such a dieing energy that everyone loves to hate on. I prefer to stick with things that use oil and gas like cars and planes.

What's with all this green? Looks so wierd.

I was out of buying money but my monthly deposit just cleared so I'm looking at apple and snap this morning as potentials. I would get more abnb but I am a little overweighted with them at the moment.

I just sold off 4 shares of GME and got my money back. I'm hoping it dips by EOD so I can buy back in at a lower cost.

I'm up 3% today. Small victories! :Sly:
Doge creeped up to the high 5 cent range.

I'm too dumb to sell at $200.

I still have one share on my wifes account.

But my average cost per share on my account was 199 and I think I sold for $200 even. I'm gonna be honest, there's no fucking way the powers that be will ever let this thing reach the silly numbers that people are throwing out. It might hit 1k per share but anything above that I would be shocked. It could crash the market.

I feel like people are starting to seriously anticipate the stimulus and it's stopped the overall sell off. I could see GME catching some wind up to another peak of $500 once all the kids get their money.

I want to buy back in if it gets back down to like $150.

Market is risky, after this stimmy money euphoria hits people spend a bit, I'm thinking it crashes hard unless there is some FED action.

I'm done with gme but I wish it the best. I got a little carried away and lost some money and now I'm extra annoyed I didn't buy when roaring kitty did at 40 because it seems so obvious now.

I was really thinking about buying some more when it dropped that low and I waited too long.

Yeah, I bought enough last week for this week and the week after. Probably gonna chill maybe trade if anything pops off.

It's party time!

This feels different than the huge day last Monday. I think the stimulus rally has begun.

Yup, I was up 4% yesterday and today, hopefully we take off soon.

Biden's taking you guys to the moon.

Spaceship's crashed to Earth and ready for re-launch. I doubt it will be crazy though.

The positions I took are ones that are gambles from the start, they aren't the S&P. Won't expect this rally to sustain for more than 2-3 months absent some heavy life preservers from the FED.

May look to get out of Virgin Galactic. I should wait until they do a launch to sell, though, but Chamath pulled out last week.

Meh. I got all my money back. GME is super volatile. It could drop back below $200 again.

Yeah, on something like that I'd probably just do a stoploss, but you would have probably triggered it anyway due to volatility.

I would have. I sold at $200 and it dropped back down to like $180 I think and then went back up. It looked like it was going to go down again. :dunno:
