... 15 for his last 27...4 HRs, 2 doubles, a triple, and 9 RBIs from the leadoff spot.

...hot?....................or radioactive?

Not complaining but with all the times he's getting on base I would have liked to see a few more SBs. He hasn't really attempted any in some time now.

My hats off to Gardy. A few days ago he slipped into the .250s and has since rebounded magnificently , with some power.
Very good feeling knowing Gardy is currently a GOOD HITTER and a significant offensive asset to the club.

He could now be really coming into his own as a solid reliable hitter.
I guess "all" hitters are entitled to be streaky. Good goin' Gardy.

He's definitely found a hot streak groove, but does He Glow In the Dark...??:smiley-dizzy::smiley-envy:

His June has been crazy. .631 slugging, 1.025 OPS and .333 average.

he still goes to the 2 hole when ellsbury returns

That's where I like Brett more than a leadoff, which he's not IMO.....

Batting 2nd, forces Gardner to look at more pitches, and IMO makes Him a better hitter; (without looking at stat splits), seems more effective in the line up in the 2 Hole..........now I gotta' go do my homework, ah fk it, I'm ditching class.....

Right now he's as hotter a hitter as I've seen but yeah, his place is 2nd.

...that just for a handful of games this year...(I knew he was not a career .290+ hitter.)

...fwiw, here's his career spits batting 1st and 2nd;

Batting 1st ; .267 .343 .422 .765

Batting 2nd .277 .338 .409 .747

Correct, but still not much of a difference really...

I knew that too, See.........................................................I basically know everything:rotfl:

In that case, can you point me to Atlantis, Shangrila, and El Dorado.....?

or where D.B. Cooper lost his duffel bag full of money....?

Didn't you hear? he found that bag & is currently hanging with Mr. Hughes.

As of today, 6/28/15, Gardy is the first .300
hitter on this Yankee team. I honestly did not
think any Yankee would achieve .300 or higher.
Now, if he only can keep it going until the end
of the season. He sure is hot. :evilfire:

It is nice to see a Yankee with a respectable batting average. He'll even McCann's is on the rise. Drew still needs to go, he's just pathetic.

Considering it seems like we were just discussing that nobody was over .270 it's good news. Gardner, Young, Arod and McCann have all hit very well and raised their averages.

It is refreshing Vic, now lets just hope it continues.

for the past few years gardner has been one of the most consistent offensive threats on team, still think we could have gotten something better for the TEAM then what he provides in a trade..... and trooffully, if this kid WAS a threat on the base paths, this post would not have never been seen

I've gotten on Gardner in the past but he's earning his money. Unlike the contract they gave Headley for his mediocrity.
