EBGames called me last night to let me know that they were having a midnight release party for Gears of War 2 and I was invited on account of my pre-order for the game. I respectfully declined.

So I haven't played the game yet. Good reviews are pouring in, though. Anyone want to comment on it?

You still have Gamestops that are called EBGames?

I'll get this game on a later date. Still have other games to get.

Indeed, which is just as well seeing as how GameStop is universally reviled in the States.

My copy is in the mail.

My friend picked it up last night at the midnight launch. Said what he played was really awesome

I played it for a bit last night doing coop with a couple friends. It was pretty good, really more of the same in my opinion. If you enjoyed the first one, you should enjoy this one as well.

I'm gonna wait a bit to buy this game. I only REALLY enjoyed it while playing co-op so I want to wait for my brother to come home from college during Thanksgiving break.

Almost bought it today though.

Game of the year probably. ;)

Seriously though this and the Call of Dutty 5 will be the best games.

Not sure whether to get this now or later. Still have to get NBA 2K9 and Fifa.

I'm enjoying it so far. Not a big departure from the first game--which is great. Very good looking game and the action is still tight. I've had a few lag issues but nothing major. I don't know how long the campaign mode is (the original was a bit short) but I think we're pretty deep into her.

It's rather short from what I've played. I've played essentially the entire thing on two different systems, and I've only played about 5ish hours or so. Me and my friend completed chapters 3 and 4 in a matter of about 3 or so hours today, and there's only five total chapters.

EBGames?! Now that is ghetto, where do you live?

I'm getting this in couple days probably when I get my paycheck. This game is insane and will break sell records.

Canada. Still called Electronics Boutique up 'ere.

Another game to add to my To Get list. Wasn't sure if i was gonna get it but played it at a friends house yesterday and loved it

lol yeh thats like down here. Theres a GAME and about 20 metres away another GAME.

Livingston Mall in New Jersey had an EBX and an EBGames. Are those related?

My brother and I beat GoW2 in 8hrs.

Great game though, depressing at times, cause people in the game who were likeable died....oh well. Had a great war movie feel to it.

A friend and I finished it on co-op recently. I think we averaged about 2 hours per chapter, so we were a bit slower than you two.

Great game, though. Kind of incredible that it looks so fantastic but is only a bit of an upgrade on the first one that came out so long ago. Shows how much they pushed the 360 right off the bat.

The multiplayer modes are fun. Sometimes I like picking it up and playing horde in single player when I'm bored, too.

I had to beat it in one sitting, it was like watching a movie, it was very intense and draws you in. Great game.

I think I beat in about 8 hours on two separate systems. I definitely liked the story, but it's not a game that I'll be buying any time soon.

i LOVE this game. I play ranked matches all the time is wicked fun!
I even plays GOW1 sometimes too.. lol

Meh I'll doubt I'll get it for a while, I have 3 games which should easily occupy me for ages, Fifa 09, CoD5 and Midnight club, plus Fallout 3 for Xmas, I won't be getting any new games for a while, next on my list is Football manager 09 on PC

It was fine for me. Normal game 8-13 hours to beat it.
