Nixon wanted the FBI to investigate him???

barfo

He could fire anyone in the FBI. Or hire whoever he wanted. Fox guarding the hen house.

That's why they had special prosecutors. Independent of all 3 branches.

No conflict of interest.

The "other" other woman? Oh, my....

WASHINGTON (AP) — Ex-CIA director David Petraeus has told friends he was shocked to find that his biographer and girlfriend, Paula Broadwell, was suspected of sending anonymous, threatening emails to a Petraeus friend she saw as a romantic rival.

A close Petraeus associate said Monday that FBI investigators told Petraeus that Broadwell sent anonymous emails to Jill Kelley, a Petraeus family friend from his time at Central Command in Tampa, warning her to stay away from him. The Petraeus associate spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss confidential conversations with Petraeus. The CIA director resigned last week after confessing to the affair.

Petraeus was not shown the emails, but was told the tone and content seemed threatening to Kelley, prompting her to report them, the close Petraeus associate said. That triggered the investigation that led the FBI to Broadwell and evidence of her affair with Petraeus...............

both of them (Petraeus and the mistress) are whores. she's at least good looking, but still a whore.

And it's the right who undertakes "The War on Women". It takes two to tango. It's not just on them.

Yeah, thats why I said 'BOTH OF THEM' and named him.

Not sure how you missed that.

Broadwell is the new deep throat.

I would like somebody to try to explain to me exactly how it might be that the Bengazhi scandal is NOT worse than the Watergate scandal which toppled a presidency. Go!

The newest twist I heard is that General Allen (to be appointed to a higher position) was supposedly involved romantically with the woman who was threatening Petraus' biographer/mistress. OH NO HE DIDN"T!

Source!

The FBI investigation took an unexpected turn when investigators uncovered a slew of “inappropriate” e-mails of a sexual persuasion exchanged between General Allen and Jill Kelley.

Obama challenges Republicans hammering Rice on Libya to 'go after me'
Published November 14, 2012
FoxNews.com
President Obama aggressively challenged Republican senators threatening to block U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Susan Rice if she is nominated for secretary of state, saying at a press conference Wednesday that those lawmakers seeking an "easy target" should just "go after me."

The full-throated defense of Rice follows weeks of criticism from Republicans concerned that she asserted repeatedly, five days after the Libya terror attack, that it was a "spontaneous" assault tied to an anti-Islam film - despite evidence that it was a pre-planned terror attack.

Amid speculation that Rice could be tapped to succeed Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., and others vowed to do "whatever is necessary" to block such a nomination.

But Obama said Wednesday that Rice has done "exemplary work," and said "to besmirch her reputation is outrageous."

"She made an appearance at the request of the White House in which she gave her best understanding of the intelligence that had been provided to her," Obama said. "If Sen. McCain and Sen. (Lindsey) Graham and others want to go after somebody, they should go after me."

He continued: "When they go after the U.N. ambassador apparently because they think she's an easy target, then they've got a problem with me."

The president said he would nominate her if he thinks she is the best person for the job, but added "that's not a determination that I've made yet."

Graham swiftly fired back.

"Mr. President, don't think for one minute I don't hold you ultimately responsible for Benghazi. I think you failed as Commander in Chief before, during, and after the attack," he said in a statement. "We owe it to the American people and the victims of this attack to have full, fair hearings and accountability be assigned where appropriate. Given what I know now, I have no intention of promoting anyone who is up to their eyeballs in the Benghazi debacle."

Other potential candidates for secretary of state include Sen. John Kerry. The chatter in Washington that Obama might instead go with Rice raised alarm among Republicans who have been repeatedly hammered her Sunday show appearances on Libya. Graham said Wednesday "I don't trust her."

Obama also said Wednesday that it's "important" to find out exactly what happened in Benghazi and vowed to cooperate with Congress.

I think it is safe to say that oboma would never challange the press unless he knew he could deflect and heat...this whole thing is going to bewhite washed by the main stream and ignored by the sheeple

pretty much every girl ive ever known has sent me dirty texts or emails, this is silly

Sorta like butt dialing. Wrong number!

Four Americans are dead and we still don't know why. Keep your eye on the ball. I don't care very much about someone who had sex with another officer, other than they're both out of the military.

Looks like Republicans are more interested in blaming and finger pointing than in getting actual facts about Benghazi...McCain is pathetic.

When CNN noted that McCain had missed a key meeting on a subject the senator has been intensely upset about, McCain said, "I'm upset that you keep badgering me."

While McCain refused to shed light on why he didn't show, his spokesman Brian Rogers emailed CNN a short time later with an explanation. He blamed it on a "scheduling error" but wouldn't provide any more detail.

According to a Democratic aide on the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, only three of the eight GOP members of the committee attended the two hour briefing that ran from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. ET. By contrast, seven of the nine Democratic members were there.

yeah another distraction away from the real point of focus. way to dig deep, CNN

Are you serious? The classified briefing focused on the real point, and McCain chose not to go. For someone who's been so vocal to cast blame and so vocal to get answers, it sure seems like that would be a rather important event to attend. And it's definitely relevant for CNN to ask why he didn't.
