‘George Floyd — a staged event,’ says Bexar County GOP chair Cynthia Brehm

Gov. Greg Abbott and other top Republican elected officials on Thursday demanded the leader of the Bexar County Republican Party resign after she posted a message on social media that questioned if George Floyd’s murder was a staged event by Democrats.

Abbott, Sen. John Cornyn and U.S. Rep. Chip Roy, R-Austin, were all quick to condemn Bexar County Republican Party Chair Cynthia Brehm for a Facebook post she entitled: “George Floyd — A Staged Event.”
