George Will, a conservative, but never a Trumper, pretty much rips The Donald a new one:

"This unraveling presidency began with the Crybaby-in-Chief banging his spoon on his highchair tray to protest a photograph — a photograph — showing that his inauguration crowd the day before had been smaller than the one four years previous. Since then, this weak person’s idea of a strong person, this chestpounding advertisement of his own gnawing insecurities, this low-rent Lear raging on his Twitter-heath has proven that the phrase malignant buffoon is not an oxymoron."

the one thing I can think of that I disagree with is the hollow notion that republican senators have abandoned their principles in order to align with trump and support him blindly

the truth is they didn't really have those principles to begin with. They just acted like they did, and it was easy because they were never tested. Trump has been their first test and all of them have failed. But again, that's because they are corrupt and unprincipled, so their priorities were exposed
