George Zimmerman punched in face for allegedly bragging about killing Trayvon Martin

The courts are not the court of public opinion. Sure, it's a good rule of thumb to reserve judgement until all of the facts have been presented, but just because 12 people can't convict somebody, doesn't mean that everyone outside of the courtroom can or should set aside their own interpretation of the facts or cede judgement about somebody's character. Case in point: should everyone have just "moved on" and pretended OJ was innocent because two prosecutors, a police department and 12 numbnuts couldn't get a conviction? He was/is almost certainly guilty as a motherfucker and the outcome of the trial doesn't change that.

In Zimmerman's case it wasn't too difficult to suss out that he provoked an incident with Travon Martin. In that incident Martin and he struggled and whatever the reasons, he killed an unarmed kid. Maybe it wasn't murder? maybe it was justified? But most of the things we keep hearing about George Zimmerman since the outcome of that trial seem to point to somebody who is probably a bad actor.
It sounds like he is a worthless pos and good candidate for retroactive abortion.

All the times in my teen years that I urged a friend to street race someone, I knew it could be my death or some bystander. Very few people have no blame when something bad happens.

Me too. All the while knowing that I should have called 911 and that whatever the outcome, it is partly my fault.
When you feel threatened in the street and there's no time to call 911 what do you do? Sometimes shit happens and sometimes you just have to throw down and defend yourself. I'm guessing Trayvon Martin felt like this with an aggressive adult stalking him and confronting him. The trouble I have is that it seems like George Zimmerman was too much of a coward to take an ass whipping like a man.

I didn't follow it, can't speak to what happened.

All of that could be, I was turned off of the story for three reasons.

1. Everyone decided what happened immediately.
2. The media kept saying white, he is hispanic.
3. No video.

White or black if somebody was stalking me and acting aggressive, I'd go "whoop ass" too.

Well come on down! I will introduce you to how a neighborhood watch program works. It is a pretty fucking stupid idea to go whoop ass on the watch in your neighborhood.
I would be amused to meet a guy that likes the idea though. I started the watch program in our neighborhood about 15 years ago.

How the fuck is somebody supposed to know if a guy is "Neighborhood Watch" by sight? You make it sound like Martin had it coming because he dared to challenge Zimmerman's faux authority. But I guess I'm retarded if I'd defend myself against somebody who is aggressively stalking me on the street. Fucking authoritarians. You're all the same.

It's not really that difficult. The Real Estate offices inform people moving in of the Neighborhood watch just like the word about CC&Rs. That's how the watch works, people doing the watching
know the people in the neighborhood. Now the question is who move the kid into the neighborhood without introducing him to the watch? We have Neighborhood watch signs about, they are the same signs as are use all around the nation. How come Martins people and him ignore the fact that there was a neighborhood watch? Pretty fucking stupid to do whoop ass on the first watch
you meet, a guy out trying to help keep the neighborhood safe. I guess the kid was living with dads girl friend in the neighborhood. Seem like they let the kid down big time, first by not introducing the kid to the watch and failing to teach him not to do whoop ass on the watch.

In American jurisprudence a person is either Guilty or Not Guilty. (This assumes an actual verdict, not a plea bargain or a hung jury.) The burden of proof is on the prosecution. So Not Guilty can mean anything from "no way in hell did this person do the crime, he/she is innocent as a day-old baby" to "we totally believe this person did the crime but the prosecution did not prove the case beyond reasonable doubt". In some other countries a verdict of Not Proven is an option when the jury believes the person is guilty but the case was not proven; there is no jail time, it's just a way for them to express the view the defendant was not actually innocent.

Yes, Zimmerman was found Not Guilty because the only person who could contradict his story was dead.
OJ Simpson was found Not Guilty.
Al Capone was convicted only if income tax evasion, not murder.

Not Guilty and innocent are not always the same thing.

Are Neighborhood Watch members typically supposed to act in the capacity of "armed first responders?" Honest question.

I think that would depend on the circumstances of the neighborhood. In our case, the only police covering the area is the County Sheriff. He will only commit to respond in near one day, likely tomorrow. So we agree in my neighborhood to come to the aid of a
resident in need. We have had incidents which required a special plan, like a cougar stocking people taking their daily walk. One of the watch finally shot the cat.

In Martins case, I think they had responders, however, none showed up in time to prevent the worst. In my view, Zimmerman should not have been out patrolling alone. We don't do it alone, nor should he. Zimmerman is a worse case example of why patrolling alone should be avoided, too small, which invites attack by the would be bully. Being armed does not prevent and attack that you invite by being an apparent easy mark for whoop ass. The armed inviting watch meeting the would be bully lead to the shooting. Everyone is guilty for their part in the tragedy.

I don't know Zimmerman's motives, he may have been out to do good, but his tactics were very poor, contributing to the tragedy.
Martin apparently had every right to be in the neighborhood, but he sure should have let the watch in on were he lived. I don't know what the hell made him decide to go whoop ass on the piss poor watch, but it was his finally fuck up leaving Zimmerman, the piss poor watch, to take it the final step, shoot his attacker. Well hell, would Martin attack a 200 pound guy instead of Zimmerman's 135 scrawny arse? Probably not, but then still it could happen. He sure as hell would not be likely to attack two people, but if he did, then he would receive his just reward and it would not be a tragedy.

Considering he will always be the guy who shot the kid he probably has nothing else to talk about. I'm guessing he's batshit crazy by now. If he wasn't already.

I figure I'd change my name and my appearance as much as possible and try to be on the down low but that's just me.

He was batshit crazy BEFORE he killed a child.

We all know based upon the 911 tape Trayvonn was being chased.

At what time during the chase does HE have the right to stand his ground?

I can't WAIT until Karma kills that murderer.

What would be awesome would have been that chick who kicked the shit out of the drunk racist on the train doing it.

This is one of your most idiotic posts.

The KILLER had no reason to chase the kid in the first place.

Do you support stand your ground laws?

Another idiotic post. It doesn't depend on the neighborhood at all. Even the 911 people told him not to Chase and that we didn't need him to do that. But he did it anyway and we all know it was for absolutely no reason. Yet you continue to double down on this murderer further making all of your posts about this pieces of shit...
