Interestingly, in Alaska, in 2018, total crimes in January were 3534, total crimes in July were 3751

Remember - in Anchorage, in January days have about 5.5 hours of sunlight and in July over 19 hours of sunlight.

This is a 5% difference for 14 hours of change - which sounds like a very reasonable margin of error for normal statistical analysis even if the days are the same.

So, sounds like a waste of effort using this very quick and dirty analysis - but maybe there is more to it that we do not know.
