40 points/0 assists
People used to bitch about Roy being a black hole...
This is why I took it to be a shot at Crash. (From the Wallace is The Man thread.)

Where did I blame Wallace for the loss? Did your Gonzaga degree teach you how to read between lines?
PapaG said:Wallace didn't pass the ball, and the shooters got rusty. It was the 'Dre/Wallace show, and it failed. The offense was stagnant and predicatable.

for PapaG completeness. This loss has nothing to do with Gerald Wallace. He played superbly. Batum and Matthews, on the other hand, stunk it up, as did Roy and Rodriguez. It makes me sad to watch Roy. My girlfriend thought he looked like an old man out there, and I had to agree.I guess I don't see this as a negative thread, only one to illustrate some of the problems attached to ISO ball. Wallace looked great tonight, but his team lost. It's as simple as that to me, as I assess a game.
Nope. I don't let myself even think like that anymore. Oden is dead to me until he proves he can stay healthy for one entire season.Anybody besides me during yesterday's game find themselves imagining a front line of Wallace, Aldridge and Oden? Holy crap!
Great post. Points to you.Wallace shot 57.1% from the field. His teammates hot 35.8%. Only an idiot would want Wallace to shoot less. Batum was a non-factor on offense (1-4) and Matthews was horrible (2-9). Implying that this loss was somehow Wallace's fault is idiotic trolling. Wallace was THE best player on the court, at both ends last night. Anybody who can't see that either didn't watch the game, is a motherfucking moron, or a blatant troll (or quite possibly all three).
The Blazers last two losses were to the two hottest teams in the league (combined 23-3 in March), both on the road, and they were in both games in the final minutes. Basketball is a team sport, and very often the better team wins, especially when playing at home. To blame one player, who played great at both ends of the court, for a loss shows a fundamental failure to understand the very basic nature of basketball as a team sport.

Well-said. Wallace had a game for the ages that was basically wasted by the rest of the team.Wallace is a Beast! All the things he did in that game last night were positives. If he plays like that again, 9 times out of 10 we win. He just needs a little help from his friends. I wanted wallace last year, and im so pumped hes on our team. The dude Dives on the floor for loose balls, gets steals, blocks shots, rebounds, and draws 7 yup 7 offensive fuckin fouls?!? Thats insane body on the line to help this team win shit! You can talk about the anomaly of not recording any assists all you want but the 7 offensive fouls he drew laying his body on the line risking serious injuries and taking away possesions from the thunder means ALOT more to me and the TEAM then not recording an assist which requires his poor shooting teammates to make a shot.
Insane Game Gerald!
