I was just talking to my mom about the house I grew up in. She just recently went by and talked the the owners who have lived there since we moved out and the son, who's now in his late 20's, told her he's seen a ghost in the form of a young girl. I never saw anything but I can recall feeling a presence and having "sometime" enter my body while I was walking down the stairs one time. Kinda trippy because I've always thought something was going on when I was there but nobody else did.
Anyone else have a ghost story?
I have quite a few, all of which occured in the same location. Honestly, prior to my experiences (or whatever the fuck you want to refer to them as), I was as skeptical as "the next guy." I always laughed at the notion of ghosts, hauntings, and the like.
Anyways, just after high school, I was taking some classes at PCC-Sylvania, as were three of my best friends, so we decided to just rent a house near campus for a while. It wasn't long after we'd moved in until I started hearing what sounded like (random) inaudible voices, footsteps and other random noises that seemed a bit odd or out of place, but most of the time I just figured it could be one of the roommates up to some random B.S. Well, let's just say I got a hair-raising notification one night that my suspicions were well-warranted, even though I'd never actually thought to myself that "this place is haunted," or anything, prior to that point in time.
The house had two living rooms on the first floor--a large one right by the front door, and a smaller one down the hallway that was sort of attached to the kitchen and dining room areas. One Saturday night, I'd gotten home from work and nobody else was home. I grabbed some food from the kitchen and went back into the front living room to watch some college football. On the wall, above the TV, were these three Japanese paper mache masks, that my friend's mom had given us (who knows why). The one that hung in the center was supposed to be accompanied by this fancy silk veil/scarf type thing.
So, I'm sitting there watching football and, out of fucking nowhere, the most intense feeling of intuition I've ever had told me to took to my left, where there was nothing more than a couple of feet between me and the corner of the room. It was seriously like something told me took look to my left, although I didn't hear a "voice" actually say it. The split-second that I reacted to look left, the entire left side of my body went numb and fuzzy, like when your foot falls asleep. And when I say the left side of my body, I mean dead-fucking-on, symmetrically, from head-to-toe. Just as soon as I looked to my left, I inherently looked straight ahead again, back in the direction of the TV, and the veil on the mask blew off at an
incredible speed and ended up on the floor... in the entry way to the living room, about 10 feet away. Exactly where it would've gone if something had exited the room at an otherwordly rate of speed. Looking back, it's like I somehow sensed the presence of something near me and as soon as I reacted it fucking BOUNCED! After I sat there in shock for a couple of seconds, I grabbed a box-knife and a cordless phone that was sitting on the coffee table--like either one was going to do shit for me in this situation, in retrospect--and ran outside until one of the roomies showed up.
I'd never seen any kind of shit like this before in my life! I know it may not
sound scary, or whatever, but let me just fucking tell you what... I was fucking scare shit-less, man! This ended up just being my
first encounter that occured at this house. There were numerous witnesses to different happenings that occured later on--including the levatating/throwing of spatulas in the kitchen on Superbowl Sunday, etc. I'd never experienced anything like this before I moved in there, and I haven't experienced anything remotely like it ever since I moved out (August of 2001). Yeah, it's safe to say that I believe in the paranormal!
