I graduated last Saturday from my Enology & Viticulture program in Walla Walla and today I accepted a job in Healdsburg CA in wine analysis. And even bigger news, I asked my girlfriend to marry me and she said yes. I am now engaged.

You completed the Trifecta!!!!! Congrats!!! I used to buy instrument building materials in Healdsburg from a place called Luthier's Mercantile....nice place

Congratulations man!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So a word of advice as you start your new career:

Plastics.

No, wait, that's not it. How about

Sell no wine before it's time.

Well done, congrats!

Congratulations! Best of luck in the business, and a happy life to you and your beloved!

By the way, if you like wine, check out "Oz and James's Big Wine Adventure" when you get a chance. It's Oz Clarke and James May traveling around France and California (two part series about a year or two apart; first France, then California) sampling wines and visiting vineyards and wine makers. It's a great series!

The 3-part series overall includes "Drinks to Britain", where they travel around Britain sampling beers. The entire series was roduced from 2006 to 2009.

I'm a huge fan of James May, so it was a very enjoyable series for me.

There are so many great restaurants down there but I'm going to have to start out really penny-pinching at first having just gone through school, my fiancee still in school for one more year, moving, rings, .... as well as two places to live, both Healdsburg and Walla Walla. So, if you have a good suggestions on places to eat for less, that's up my alley at this point in time.

THat's the plan at the moment. I'm pretty handy with a sauté pan and it'll give me something to do at night.
Ummm....having just gotten married you should have plenty to do at night instead of cooking....at least in the kitchen. Just sayin'.....
