Giants now have the number one overall pick

Yup, lose out and they pick # 1. Split and they can pick no worse than 5th. But forget that, don't F up now, lose out please.

Maybe Vegas trades their first, second and a first next year to trade up one spot. Hard to pass up that deal.

The Giants did what anyone who knows the Giants fully expected them to do, win a meaningless game and blow the # 1 pick. With the Raiders also winning that puts the Giants on track for the 4th pick IF they lose at the Eagles next week, which I am not convinced they will as Philly will be playing their C team. If they win next week also, they could pick 9th.

As for the 4th pick, it sucks really. They'll be behind the Browns, Titans, and Pats. The Browns and Titans need QB's and will take Sanders and Ward. The Pats will take the best player in the draft, Hunter. So, the Giants will be left without a QB or the best player in the draft.

Thankfully they won a meaningless game as they always do. Watch them beat the Eagles next week and end up picking 8th or 9th, dropping from the 1st pick with only two games left. They are a bigger joke than the Rangers.

I was not impressed with Sanders as he sucked moose cock when he actually played some real competition and sucked in his bowl game. As far as Ward. If his IQ is over 70 I would be amazed. I was excited to get a top pick as I was hoping they would trade out for a boat load. Either way. I'd rather them trade back still and acquire more picks and then go for a QB in the second or third round or draft one next season. The QB class this year fucking blows.

While I don't disagree about this QB class in general (maybe they can get Milroe or Beck in the early 2nd), it is still typical Giants to blow it late with meaningless wins, they do it every season which is why they suck but almost never pick in the top 3 or 4.

Falling to 4 lowers the return value if you trade the pick (which is already lower than usual due to the lack of top QB's), and means you won't get Hunter either, if you decide to pass on a QB. I am also not convinced they'll pick 4th, again watch them beat the Eagles and pick 8th or 9th, it's what they do.

Any way you slice it; it was a terrible win by the Giants today. Now they go for the pick knockout punch with a win next week at the Eagles.

Beck is trash and Milroe said he was coming back for another year.

Milroe has not said that, he is still deciding what he will do and will make that call after their bowl game. Usually, kids who are projected to be drafted by the 2nd or 3rd round don't stay, but we'll see what he decides after their game. As for Beck, I think he'll be better than some think. I actually think he could fall to the 3rd round, so maybe if he's still available the Giants could take him.

Who knows how the draft board will fall, but what I do know is as usual the Giants F'd themselves by winning meaningless games.

Beck is a career backup. Might as well stick with Lock.

We'll see, you may be right on Beck, he played with a ton of talent at Georgia, and had a down year. At the start of the year, he was projected to be the # 1 QB, and now he is the 4th or 5th QB, so he has fallen. I think he may be a guy who slips but turns out to be solid, but who knows. Time will tell. Even at his best he won't be a franchise guy, we agree on that.

Best bet is for the Giants to stink again next season and then take Manning in 2026, but as usual I am sure the Giants will win just enough meaningless games to miss out on a top 3 pick, let alone # 1.

You Big Blue fans may as well wait for Eli's nephew or maybe the Tennessee/LSU QBs in 2026, like others have said, this class sucks. Luckily I have my QB and we're going for a 3-peat. :)

There is no doubt on paper this is a weak QB class. Maybe the Giants take Carter from Penn State (a stud pash rusher/LB) or Graham the big DT from Michigan (great stud partner for Lawrence in the middle). Take a project QB later in the draft and sign a vet QB in the offseason. Then if they suck again next season, and they will, they draft high enough to get Manning, Iamaleava, Allar, or Nussmeier. Next seasons QB class is much better and deeper than this seasons, no real debate there.

Please you bandwagon fucking fraud. I have no respect for somebody who claims to be a Chiefs fan that is Rangers fan. We will probably be hearing that you’re a Florida Panthers fan soon.

I'm not a bandwagon fraud dickwad, I've been a fan since the late 80's when i was in college.

Of course dumpy jumps right to conclusions. I waited 30y for a SB so I'm not going to apologize for being a fan. I was a big Rams fan up through HS but latched onto KC when they got Derrick Thomas. The Rangers are really the only area team I care about though I do like to see the Mets do well if the not the O's.

Fraud!!!!!!! Accept this as reality and move on. He probably bailed on a New York team when you were young because they stunk. Thomas is always a fucking lame excuse for fraud Chief fans.

Stop. Never cared about the Giants/Jets and certainly not the Yankees. Was into the Knicks with Bernard and into the Ewing years but don't care about the NBA anymore.

You guys would have a field day with me...I am a Rangers, Phillies, Cowboys, Knicks fan (in that order).
I became a Rangers fan when I was in 3rd grade because my gym teacher broke our class up into 4 teams to play floor hockey...the Red Wings, (local AHL affiliate at the time) Islanders, Rangers and Sabres. She put me on the Rangers and that was all it took.
I've been a Phillies fan since I went to college in Philly, wasn't a big baseball fan prior to that.
A Cowboys fan since I was 6 because my mom bought me a Danny White jersey, he was also on the Wheaties box at the time.
Knicks fan because Patrick Ewing was my dad's neighbor in Fort Lee when he first joined the Knicks.
Between those 4 teams I have witnessed a combined 5 championships in 40+ years of fandom.

Dump thinks everyone only roots for all teams in their area.

No dumbass but there is no fn way you are a Chiefs fans first. You bailed on either the Jets or the Giants.

I bailed on the Rams in 89 when I got to college. After the Flipper Anderson game against your G-men. You're right, it would've been strange being a Chief fan first in the late 70"s unless you were from the Midwest, as they were terrible. Deberg and Okoye were there when I started.

I wasn't a Chiefs fan, but I loved the Nigerian Nightmare so much I had his jersey.

As pathetic as it sounds, this may be the biggest Giants game over the past few seasons. Lose and they pick 4th, win and they'll most likely pick 8th or 9th. They need to lose this game, a win would be awful for them, falling from the 1st pick to the 8th or 9th pick in two weeks is a disaster.

The Eagles are resting all their players, and in some cases playing their 3rd stringers. This is the kind of meaningless game the Giants usually win, so who knows what will happen.

Yes, the Eagles are trying to fuck us over and I'll laugh my ass off if they lose their first playoff game. Hurts hasn't played in almost a month. Stop Barkley in that game to a respectable level and the Eagles will lose. Hurts is going to suck in that game after such a long layoff. The Giants picking 8th may be better. If that is the case and dumbass Schoen has a brain, he will trade back multiple times. Get as many extra 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th's as he can. Take somebody like Beck late in the first or early second. Start filling holes. Draft a couple of legit defensive end talents 270+ and go back to the 4-3 and get rid of this shit 3-4 which they suck at playing. Draft another tackle for depth. A CB with nice upside. A new kicker. Another DT. A WR with some height. They have a ton of holes to fill.

Turned out to be a great day for the Giants. Not only did they thankfully lose to the Eagles, but the Pats also beat the Bills which means the Giants will pick 3rd. Why I think that is important is now they are guaranteed to get one of Sanders, Ward, or the best player in the draft Hunter. I am not as disappointed they lost the 1st overall pick now that they got the 3rd pick. For the Giants having the ability to take 1 of those 3 players is big. You get a QB or the best player in the draft if the QB's go 1 and 2 to the Titans and the Browns, which they very well may as they both need QB's. The Giants cannot lose now IMO.

Maybe the best of all worlds is the QB's go 1 and 2, the Giants take Hunter, and potentially Milroe or Beck are there in the early 2nd round. Who knows about that, but it worked out well for them today thankfully.

Give me Hunter all day long. We need a number 1 CB and 3rd down WR to go with Nabers. However, I have a feeling that one of the teams in front of us will trade their pick for a boat load to a team that wants Hunter.

Could be, it will really be an interesting watch. Both the Titans and Browns need a QB, usually teams only trade up for a QB, but the best most highly rated player in the draft is Hunter, so does he make teams want to trade up for him (which is extremely rare for a non-QB).

I feel the Titans are almost a lock to keep the pick and take a QB, most likely Sanders (Ward if by some chance they like him better). The Browns are the wildcard. I could see any of the 3 scenarios playing out, they draft the other QB (which is a big position of need), they draft Hunter, or they trade the pick to a team that wants the other QB or Hunter. Not sure how the Browns will play it. The one comment I'll add though, is I'm not sure a team will give up a boatload to move up this year. Does a non-QB command that type of return and do Sanders/Ward rate highly enough for a team to trade away a boatload.

That is why I truly think the Giants are in a no-lose position, and getting the lucky break of the Pats beating the Bills was huge. I viewed this as a 3-player top of the draft for the Giants, and now they are guaranteed to get one. They get their QB of the future, or the best player in the draft. A case could be made the best case for the Giants is they get Hunter since neither of the QB's are lock stud prospects.
