He also brought his name up couple days ago randomly saying he does a bunch of things that go unnoticed. In years past he's talked highly of him as well. It's pretty obvious he's got a crush.

So I've come up with a trade

To Minnesota: Turner, Ed Davis, and Caleb Swanigan
To Portland: Georgui Dieng, Shabazz Muhammad, Cole Aldrich

Why Minnesota does this: Thibs gets his boy Turner, and a young prospect in Swanigan. Davis replaces Dieng, who's been underutilized by Thibs (only averages 17mpg) and fits the type of player Thibs likes. Shabazz is not in Minnesotas rotation. Neither is Aldrich. Long term this also saves them money.

Why Portland does it: We dump Turner to maybe the only team that'd be interested while adding Dieng who profiles behind Nurk as well as next to him. Shabazz gets an opportunity to play and gives us a wing scorer off the bench. Aldrich is filler, and we can probably move him elsewhere, his contract is not an issue. Financially were not adding salary in this deal.

Now what's Neil's email

Turner would have be included in any megadeal with CJ or even Dame to legitimately get another team interested. It would have to be Quid Pro Quo. Tradable cap space can net you a number one pick in this league. The rest of the league knows how fucking insane the Blazer's contracts are. They aren't just going to fall for a "you give me your shit along with a couple of spare parts." Jesus, trade ideas on fan boards never go anywhere.

Turner needs to man up and retire!
Why is he doing this to us?? :smiley-bigcry::smiley-bigcry::smiley-bigcry:

“Your idea is bad. The end.”

If you’re not going to come up with anything constructive, what’s the point of commenting?

I could make a pretty good argument why Evan Turner for 17m would be more valuable to Minnesota than Dieng for 14m and Aldrich, who doesn’t even play, for 7m.

I don't know if they'd give up Dieng, and I don't want Muhammad (and two Shabazzes would be confusing), so I prefer this:

My attack was on the idea of moving Turner, not your trade idea, specifically. I am sorry. I've seen so many people taking about moving Turner and it's just not going to happen. We are stuck with him.

When I look at this Blazer team the last thing I think is we could use more white guys.

Make them take Nards and we’re golden.

I like it if only because it would give us a monopoly on Shabazzes.

Turner is a big reason our defense has improved...it was about this time of the season last year when he started clicking.....he's a good defender and with Chief...they bother a lot of scorers...Mo on the other hand.....zzzzzzzzzzzz

Turner is not a bad player. He just doesn’t fit our team anymore, especially if Napier is playing as well. His ballhandling isn’t as valuable and no one respects his shot so the spacing is fucked. Doesn’t mean nobody else would want him though. I hope.

Randoms Facts:
Turner (Age 29) makes $17-$18-$19
George Hill (Age 31) makes $20-$19-$18

Lol that’s funny because I’ve been thinking of a Hill/Turner swap. Both contracts suck but Hill fits us better imo

And the last year of Hills contract is only partially guaranteed.
Hill = $40M guaranteed
Turner = $53M

I personally would be willing to throw Napier in a Turner/Hill swap.

We're giving up the three best players in your deal.
