While the country star Glen Campbell is treated in a Nashville care home with advanced stage Alzheimer’s disease, his two oldest children are trying to wrest control of his affairs from his wife of 32 years.
Debby Campbell-Cloyd and Travis Campbell have asked a court to appoint a guardian to manage the medical and financial interests of their father, famous for hits such as Rhinestone Cowboy, Southern Nights and By the Time I Get to Phoenix.
They claim that Kim Campbell, his fourth wife, is barring some of his eight children from seeing him in the long-term care facility and from involvement in decisions about his treatment.
