Funny story: so I knew that I wanted to pair Nash with Ginobili. While I'm "searching" the selection page to see if he was taken, Firefox points me to the only place where his name is mentioned...in dino33's sig. Turns out pairing those two....well, great minds think alike.

haha I was going SG with that pick, and it was either Manu or Gay. I'd be open to a trade
 
To be honest I care more about "reaching" for players I like, rather than thinking things through logically. I do that a lot it seems in these drafting situations.


Damn though Jigga, I wish my pick was a few slots higher I would have stolen Nash.
 
I came into this draft with a realistic starting 5 I could get in mind, so far I'm 2 for 2

No way! Vince Carter @ #51? That HAS to be a steal this late, I would say about 49 picks too late! lol
 
Damn it. I was targeting Biedrins and was hoping he would last. He'd be awesome with Nash.

I kind of what to build a themed team based off the style of the first person I chose and seeing how Gilbert Arenas is who I picked, I'm going to try to make it a Phoenix run and gun kind of offense.

Just for fun
 
Granted Kaman didnt help, but he was a young center who could rebound, play D, and score when asked to.

LOL, now I can predict who you are going to draft next.
 
You look at Kidd and Duncan and think you've got two hall of famers, and so it looks good on paper. However, you've got one player who thrives in the transition game, and one who is built for the half-court. I'd consider you drafting BPA and trade Kidd. Maybe you can pick up a more suited point guard while upgrading a pick?
 
Nash, Ginobili, and Prince. Athleticism, shooting, defense, scoring. A perfect trio!

Thanks for the feedback, Jigga. I agree. I'm sure I'll be working the phones later as my team starts to take shape.

Ahaha. I wonder how your team would fare three-on-three against the 05-06 Nets' Kidd-Carter-Jefferson tandem.
 
I hate to triple post but would someone be interested in making a GM Draft 2 Team Rosters thread where we'd be able to see how each team is filling out?

I can tell you right now my team is filling out the win column.


I'd take a team with Nash, Ginobili, Prince over Kidd, Carter, Jefferson. However if I'm thinking three on three I might have to give Vince Carter extra considerations since he can create his own shot like few people on this earth.

And I would appreciate more sleep lol...
I stay up all night to watch the Olympics because I can't hear alarms, so I just pull all-nighters.

So for these drafts, I'm usually up when other of the mods go to bed (*cough* ZAE *cough*) and I'm still up when they wake up.

But thank you for your appreciation.
 
I also think Dynasty has been running this draft superbly.

They'd be better if not for the fact that jefferson owns prince. Seriously, check out how he did against rj last year.
