I dont care who agrees or disagrees with this statement. It would be very stupid for a GM to give up a young franchise-type player in Bynum for an unproven "Believed to be franchise-type player" AKA Greg Oden. I would think most GMs would want to wait and see how Oden performs before wasting a very very good player for him.

You are a dooshbag who is not an NBA scout and has no credibility. If you want to have an intelligent discussion, I'm game, but I don't think you are capable.
 
You refused to say you would trade Oden for Bynum, and now you say a real GM would be stupid to trade Bynum for Oden. Why didn't you just say this to begin with if that's really your opinion? Not a lot of conviction there.
 
Well, your personal attacks will be edited leaving only your actual basketball discussion to represent you. Since that isn't very good, you should probably work to improve that instead of lashing out like a child.

Too bad it'll be forgotten and buried by you and Claud trying to prove your superiority over one another by refusing to walk away from a 100% irrelevant argument that stemmed from where players were taken in a fantasy draft.

Can we agree to disagree, ladies? I think everyone's said what they want to say, lets get this damn thread back on topic (i.e. why the hell did the guy who was supposed to pick next sign off after lurking around the site for like an hour?)
 
I really like the site and dont want to get banned or anything so i will stop arguing with you two because it is going nowhere and i have said everything from my part, if you both need to vent... go ahead but dont count me in.

It started as a discussion about the pick but turned into Bynum vs. Oden. By all means if you want to continue please go ahead but I thought the argument had run its course and everyone who cared had expressed their thoughts on the matter.

If you have more to say go ahead. I assumed that everything had been covered and we were just going in circles now.

I don't see how it is an irrelevant argument or an attempt at superiority, when Claud posed a question regarding the GM Draft (This is the GM Draft discussion thread, right?), and then we were engaged in a debate about it.
The argument was very relevant, it's the GM draft discussion thread. How many arguments on this site are relevant to you? .1%?
This thread was never off-topic, it's the GM draft discussion thread.
 
I challenge anyone to read any post by anyone other than Claud in this thread that "bashes" anyone. Disagreeing with someone isn't bashing. Denny Crane agreed with you and was able to discuss this topic rationally.

No, it didn't go to hell until the ad hominem and personal attacks started. Having two points of view about the game is fine. That's what I thought we were discussing.

Maybe I'm misinterpreting your whole debate but after a while it just looked like two guys on the internet who refuse to lose an argument. It went on for almost 3 pages. God forbid one of you has to say "hey man we just don't see eye to eye on this" and move on.

The debate did begin on topic but I think the last page or two of it have been pretty irrelevant after you guys already said everything there is to say. It was a pain in the ass to read and keep up with from my perspective. Maybe I'm in the heavy minority who is sick of reading your argument for several pages whilst hoping it will end and we can discuss something else.

Like I said, I didn't realize you guys weren't done yet. Clearly everyone involved has more to say so I'll just mind my own business in this thread from now on while you guys continue to verbally duke it out.

You read and comprehend what Im saying before attacking or putting your own opinion in it.

Here is what im saying:
---In this game ( S2 Draft game) I will take Bynum over Oden because even though it is known that Oden has GREAT POTENTIAL (I am not dismissing this fact nor am I saying he's a bad player...obviously, he is not a bad player); he has yet to play in an actual NBA game. Therefore, I think that Bynum is a better pick for this S2 Draft game than Oden because Bynum has shown us how he plays the game and is a starter for a great team and contributes positively to it.

---In real life, I would wait to about a year or two to see how Oden is and how he develops, before making my decision. Why? There have been many number one picks that have been a bust in the history of the NBA.

I'm just saying given the situation, to me, it is a more logical pick than Oden...

If every debated ended after 2 replies with "Let's agree to disagree, we don't see eye to eye" and then we moseyed into the flower fields while holding hands, this would be a pretty boring forum.
No one forced you to read it, or not post about something else.
 
I guess in Claud's eyes, disagreeing with him equates to a thread going to hell. Plus this is all a moot point, I'm going to own this draft.

eh, all in good fun. it was a debate and it just got out of hand.
 
Ah. But you can't wait two years. The Lakers are offering you this deal now. In 2008. So in the game you say yes, but in "real life" you say... what? That's what I want to know. I don't see why the answers should be different.
