Going to Hawaii...

I'm going to Hawaii and I was wondering if any of you know any places I should check out. I'll be leaving on the 11th and I'll be staying there for a week for Spring Break. The fun part is, is that I'm going with my friend and his mom. We're travelling with his family friends (a married couple), so his mom will be with them, so basically me and my friend will be free to do whatever.

Anyways, I've only been to Hawaii once, but I was like 7 and I barely remember anything. I know that there will probably be a lot of stores and basketball products (shoes/clothing in particular) that I can't get here in Calgary (Canada). So I was wondering if anybody's been there before and if they know of any good stores I should check out while I'm there. I've been wanting to get a new pair of shoes for along time, both basketball and casual.

Also, besides stores/malls and what not does anybody know any places I should visit while I'm there? Thanks.

There's tons of stuff to do: snorkeling/diving in the middle of the ocean with dolphins and fish, going to see extinct volcanoes, exploring the rainforests, and a lot more (surfing, too, if you know how).

I live in Hawaii and never lived no where else. But yeah like they said all that water ish is on and poppin. And u know u can just go to footlockers, footaction, etc... We got all those shoe stores. U coming to the island of Oahu right?

U should go in October when the waves are huge. They got alot of stuff that is "Herbal". Some stuff called golden bud. LOL if your a smoker. and its all legal!!!

Well I have a cousin living in Kapolei which is in Honolulu I believe, but my friends mom wants to fly to Maui a few days after we get there. I'll be staying at my cousins the first night and I'll be staying at a hotel near Kapolei for the rest of the stay.

I'll try to go snorkeling and swimming and what not. 30 Standing ver, do you know of any good beaches and malls near where I'm staying?

Lived there for 6 years. Theres a place called Ice Palace when I was out there.... Lots of ladies... whoo hoo. Watch for the gang that kicks back in front of there though... Just go through and have fun inside! LOL. Not sure if thats still the happening spot.

North Shore and the country side is nice too. If anyone give you a dirty look just throw up the SHAKA sigh and say ALOOOOOOHAAAAA!!!! haha. Have fun dude. Beaches are the ish out there!!!

I guess Ala Moana is the best mall in Waikiki.

I just talked to the friend I'm going with and his mom wants to take us jet-skiing. Never tried it before and I'm a bit scared of it, because I never learned how to swim. Apparently we're staying at a resort where his mom has time-shares at. It's supposed to be really nice and close to the beach. The more I talk about it, the more excited I get. Just 4 more days....

The official Bape store is in NYC, and Tokyo. You might be able to find some Fape in Hawaii though lol. You can find that anywhere.

I watched a show on the Travel Network once and it had a place called Kona Dog on there which serves hotdogs in some weird bun with different kinds of fruit relishes. I've wanted to eat there ever since. I think it's in Kauai(sp?)

They have a lot of exclusive shoe stores in Hawaii. A lot of kids from Japan move there and open up shop. Just ask around, because a lot of them aren't in the main shopping areas.

I'm back. Ended up buying 5 pairs of shoes cause shoes there are so cheap compared to here in Canada. I had to take advantage of all the shoes that you couldn't get here. I never realized until now, how limited the selection here is in Canada. I'll try and post up some pictures later.

No I bought a bunch of shirts and stuff, but the main thing I bought was shoes. The week went by too fast, but I ended up going to 3 different beaches. I also went to a Polynesian event where you explore the different cultures. I went snorkeling at this one beach where the water is clear so that you see all the fish.
