Planning a bday party for a friend...anyone have any good experiences with large groups at a particular restaurant? Good food is a plus:)

Have your friend register at Benihana's website and they'll give him a gift certificate for $30 good for the month of this birthday.

Hooters does the same thing but only gives you $10 and free hot wings.

Then strap up and head to Club 915!

joking about the FG....just had to.

I've done big group bdays at Henry's in the Pearl once. It was not bad. Good ambiance I guess..drinks, but hard to talk to people and kind of packed. Andina might be good too, good drinks, nice appetizers to share. We got a private room downstairs and a set menu of various things. circular tables, etc.

I enjoyed the Departure Lounge at the Nines. good vibe, kind of pricey for what it was though but its pretty good up there for various asian fusion type dishes. might want to check out Ping, heard good things about there.

really depends on how many peeps going.

Thanks for the recommendations,guys!

I wasn't impressed with Casa Diablo's. I'm an Acrop guy through and through.

We ended up going to Benihana, btw. Thanks for the idea SPD.

Pros: Unique experience. Fun interacting with the chef while he cooks for you.

cons: loud dining area. Pricey. Food is mediocre.
