Canzano doesn't really say otherwise as Quick doesn't say it is done - he simply says they're NEARING agreement. That fits with Canzano's source saying it is not done (as Quick never states it is done) and it is still being worked on (which since it is only nearing completion work is still being done).

I think it's more accurate to say that they are close to getting close to soon being able to get to a position, where negotiations on the contract can come to a conclusion at a future time in which it will be finalized.
