If I were the Yankee Brass I'd find every God Damn way available to legally get rid of A-hole. The fans forgave him in '09 when he admitted to cheating, then continued to do so making him a habitual liar on top of that. Olberman may be a self appointed baseball Nazi but he hit it right on the nail when talking about the "ones who got caught" The stupid ass fans go rah, rah, rah when they succeed for their new team (see Cruz) and that other lying ass Ryan Braun getting a standing ovation. Lackey bitched about the "users" when he pitched against them but nary a word about Peralta backing him up in the field. Headley proved last season that he can field 3rd well, if he can step up at the dish then primo I hope the Yankees will give him a job at 3rd.
When does Biogenesis go to trial? Looks like Feb 9, 2015. This trial is gonna be going on during ST. What a circus.
I'm also hoping the Yankees give Headley another contract to come back. To me he's like the 2nd coming of Scott Brosius. And between 3rd base & the outfield he'll still be able to get 400+ ABs.

Will Headley's production improve playing his home games in a better hitter's park (Yankee Stadium)?
Otherwise, he's a .265 hitter who averages 13 HRs, 60 RBI, .756 OPS and making 12-14 mil per yr, and this includes one season over 30 HRs and 100 RBI.
He had 191 ABs with the Yanks and batted .262 with 6 HRs, 17 RBI, .768 OPS
Approximately what he was with the Padres.
His defense could be the difference maker for the Yanks..I don't know.
I have a feeling, his offensive production could improve with the Yanks.
Is it worth the risk?
Is 13 HRs, 60 RBI, .756 OPS . and 12 mil per a good fit for this under achieving high priced team?
He's going to be tough call for the Yanks.
I think he'd take less if the Yankees would give him multiple years, say 3 with a TEAM option for a 4th. And not to nit-pick but he was hitting 229 with the Padres when we got him.

Okay - maybe 3ys at LESS than 12 per?
He batted .243 for this season.
He batted .262 WITH the Yanks...
...approx same as his career BA, .265...
....and his OPS was also in the same career avg range.
It could be just a case of, he is what he is.
He had that one big year in 2012, 31 HRs, and..
11 HR- 610 AB
13 HR - 520 AB
4 HR - 381 AB
12 HR - 543 AB
His HR totals could improve as a Yankee...or remain about the same.
He had 13 HRs in 470 ABs this year.
6 with the Yanks with 191 ABs.
So if you tripled the 191 ABs to 573 which is basically a full season you're looking at around 18 HRs. I hear what you're saying & I agree that he's not worth the 12-14M that he might be looking for. I was thinking 3 years at $30M with a TEAM option for a 4th. JMO.
