Ted Nugent said that if Obama wins he'll either be dead or in jail.

As Bill Maher said, a win-win.

God forbid workers are forced to give 100%, rather than whatever BS standards are. Then protected forever by the union, all the while costing consumers more money because most are overpaid.

Reagan docked unions $2.00 an hour when he was president, but neither Bush did, and I doubt Romney would either.

My kids school just got rid of an outstanding teacher due to cutbacks and kept some real shitty ones all because of tenure. So insane

Teachers at most public schools get paid based on their degree and number of years teaching, that's about it.

Public schools and unions are pretty incompetent, I don't think I could ever join one.

the teamsters i sometimes am forced to use are a complete joke, stand around and do nothing for twice the money of my other guys, usually in track suits/ gold chains

but i guess dont hate the player, hate the game

though as far as teachers and firefighters go, lets find another group to pick on

Oh ya, I don't have any issue with the workers. If someone wants to over pay them, take it.

anyone that wants to make it their crusade to crucify teachers has their fiscal priorities out of order

How can a President cut a wage by $2.00?

From what I remember, his administration was very anti labor. The union was on strike, and Reagan's administration forced them to take a pay cut. This is 30 year old memory talking here, but regardless of the circumstance, I am sure of the number

A lot of teachers are really underpaid. Some teachers are severely overpaid though. It should be based on merit, not tenure

I've never heard of a President getting in the business of a labor groups bargaining agreements. But interesting.

I don't have a problem with private unions, nor do I want to protect people from their bad decisions.

Public teachers blow it's that simple.

Where do you work? I just wondering because I'm also a teamster but I don't really know who all they represent.

most recent would be what happened with the auto industry, tells chrysler to sell to fiat, buys GM, saves the union (big fucking mistake) BK made a lot of current contracts null and void, but then bent over for union favor and votes..

I'm talking about getting in at the bargaining table over something like raises.

hmm you could start with the coal strikes in the first part of last century, work your way up to the strikes at ford inhe 20s, strikes in the late 30s in the steel mills, and many war production plants even through the first part of the 40s. It does happen
