Rudy stepped up in a huge game today. The guy is a big-game player imo. He had been struggling, but I think he's putting it together now.

Rudy hit some big shots. He made some hustle plays. He worked his ass off on defense. He ran his man all over the place trying to stay with him. I loved the decoy play where after his usual handful of cutbacks, he finally cleared out of the key to get the pass, but instead Aldridge rolled to the hoop for the Miller lob. Mostly though I loved the way he was "muscling" with Ron Artest. The little Spaniard really took a beating, and not all of it was faking it. I thought Artest was going to put him in the hospital but Rudy stuck to it. Hat's off to Rudy.

Yup. Bayless and Rudy are both going to need to step up in a big way ... for their sakes and the team's I sincerely hope it comes to pass.

I just shudder when Bayless comes into games now. At least Sergio knew how to orchestrate a team and distribute the ball. We definitely need Bayless to play well. I guess the better the other subs do, the more it will open up his game, and Rudy and Martell looked good today, so I'll keep my fingers crossed.
