Should have never a received third time. His time had come and gone. Someone new needed to be in there. By giving him the vote of confidence two additional times, they built him up to bigger than what he was. He knew it. He took advantage of it. Arrogance in epic proportions.
Mindless voters is the real problem

Oregonians and their dire need for a dem is responsible for this. No way should he have received third and fourth term.

Duds should have been given an opportunity when it was there.

Oregon will probably never have a Republican governor again. I think I read somewhere that only 69% of Oregonians even voted and I'm pretty sure 2/3 of the 31% would be registered Democrats.

The best shot of someone getting in office other than a liberal would be a libertarian, I'd be perfectly fine with that.

Multnomah, Marion, Lane and some parts of Douglas Counties. It's where the population is at. They comprise a very small part of the state. Yet have the most influence.

Duds would have been good but Richardson was crap.
you've got that right. Duds should have had a shot (tax evasion aside) but my goodness, the republicans had a golden opportunity to win the last election. Richardson is an asshat. If they would have gotten anyone that wasn't a senile old man they would have won.

So, is Kate Brown a Transgender?

It would be terrible of me as a person to make any assumptions.

I've always found it funny that people complain that the places where the most people are have the most influence. Yeah, no shit.

It's also the least geographic territory.

It's also where the vast majority of the money is (and not because it's just rich people, but they out number the people).

I'm not too savvy when it comes to politics but will their be a new vote, or are we pretty much set with the new woman in office until the next election cycle?

I think if there was a re-call, you'd get a new election. Since there is a next in command (SOS), they're the new governor until the next election.

Thats why Johnson and Ford were president, and why California had a special election that elected the Governator. They recalled Gray Davis.

There is no way to recall a governor in Oregon.

People who choose to live like sardines in a can, commit the most heinous atrocities against each other, and view Nature as a foreign environment are not my idea of anyone who should be making decisions for society as a whole.

You obviously haven't lived in Portland or the metro area anytime recently.
