Grade Olshey's deadline trades

That's fine. Olshey's peers disagree with you.

That's cool, Stotts' peers disagree with you. That's a terrible argument and you know it, and you would point out what a terrible argument it was if applied to Stotts. I just find it funny that you're not capable of any nuance. Your brain starts and stops with "Stotts bad" and you can't process anything else, any other failure points in the team.

So Bazemore, Tolliver, tw0 2nds, Ariza and two 1sts....for Covington.

more accurate, with just a little overlap, is Staskas + Baldwin + Bazemore + Tolliver + Ariza + two 1st's + four 2nd's for RoCo and Hood. Basically, 6 draft picks including two 1st's for RoCo and a hobbled Hood

making it look worse is that Houston turned around and traded Ariza and the Portland 2020 first for Christian Wood and a future 1st. Basically, they traded RoCo for Christian Wood and two 1st's

Where do Stotts' peers disagree? What metric are you using?

I've never said Stotts is bad. I think he's a fine coach for a team trying to get out of the lottery.

I live rent free in your head so much that you've assigned opinions to me that I've never said. Haha

What's my horoscope and what's my blood type? Do tell.

He's been runner-up for coach of the year, for example (and received votes in other years). And he's been spoken of well in situations where his name was not brought up by other coaches. It's pretty obvious that around the league he's pretty well-regarded as a coach.

I love rent free in your head so much that you've assigned opinions to me that I've never said. Haha

Functioning adults don't unironically say "I live rent free in your head," so I assume you're attempting to perform a parody of a teenager who's lost the argument. You're a film-maker, right?

You're leaving your argument pretty early. Seems like you realize you've lost the argument and are now attacking me personally.

I have to live rent-free in your head if you're assigning statements and opinions to me that I never made.

Despite your best Tucker Carlson impression, I appreciate your contributions.

Go take a look at who votes for coach of the year.

Hint - it's not other NBA coaches.

He was a loser before he came to the Blazers. His record before he got here was atrocious. That's not to say he is worthless. Just stating the facts. In comparison, Olshey was highly regarded before joining the Blazers.

I'm not saying Olshey is perfect or Stotts is worthless. All that I'm showing is that Olshey has been more highly regarded amongst his peers than Stotts. That's all.

2013

The 2017 trade netting Nurkic and eventually Collins is the only deadline deal that Neil did while GM that has paid off any. Well, and maybe Hood.

I have to agree with this. Olshey does not have a good trade deadline record!

Blazers trade the rights to Georgios Prentezis and a TPE to the Oklahoma City Thunder for Eric Maynor.

No Moves at the deadline

2015

The Blazers trade Will Barton, Victor Claver, Thomas, a 2016 1st rnd pick (Malik Beasely), and TPEs for Aaron Afflalo and Alonzo Gee.

2016

The Blazers trade cash and a TPE to the Miami Heat for Brian Roberts and a 2021 2nd rnd pick (traded to Memphis as part of Kanter trade?)

The Blazers trade a 2020 2nd rnd pick (Vernon Carey Jr) and TPE to the Cavaliers for Anderson Varejao and a 2018 1st rnd pick (Moritz Wagner).

2017

The Blazers made their move early before the deadline trading Mason Plumlee and 2018 2nd rnd pick(Shake Milton) for Jusuf Nurkic and a 2017 1st rnd pick (Harry Giles)(Traded with 2017 1st rnd pick #15 Justin Jackson to the Kibgs for #10 Zach Collins.)

2018

The Blazers trade Noah Vonleh and cash to the Chicago Bulls for the rights to Milovan Rakovic and a TPE.

2019
