The Verdict

Grand Theft Auto V is not only a preposterously enjoyable video game, but also an intelligent and sharp-tongued satire of contemporary America. It represents a refinement of everything that GTA IV brought to the table five years ago. It’s technically more accomplished in every conceivable way, but it’s also tremendously ambitious in its own right. No other world in video games comes close to this in size or scope, and there is sharp intelligence behind its sense of humour and gift for mayhem. It tells a compelling, unpredictable, and provocative story without ever letting it get in the way of your own self-directed adventures through San Andreas.

It is one of the very best video games ever made.

I'm not a big gamer but I may give this a try. I don't play anything outside COD but I'm totally burned out -- I now primarily play Black Ops 1. I Really haven't been that impressed with this franchise since BO1/cod4.

Multiplayer doesn't go live for two weeks after the release of the game. Previous GTA multiplayer experiences haven't been great. But I thought Rockstar's multiplayer on Red Dead Redemption was great.

this one is going to be amazing. but nothing like cod online. it's going to be basically a whole new gta game with missions. I don't think there will be team deathmatch or anything like that.

It was a little strange. I asked if they had enough copies to cover the preorders and he said they did. He asked me if I was coming to pick it up (at launch) and I said maybe and he said well if you don't we can't guarantee a copy or something to that effect.

The gamestop here is giving out tickets at 9 pm. so that ticket is your spot in line at midnight. im going at 9 to pick up the ticket then back at like 11:45 and getting in my spot in line with my buddy.

The line goes fast and if you don't get a ticket you can still get it fairly quick.

Red Dead Multiplayer was soooooooooo much fun! Only thing it was missing was ability to co-op the story basically. Red Dead is in my top 10 favorite games of all time though!

Why is that because a select few kids take the game to far and try to imitate it? if my kid wanted GTA hell get it but he has to know his limits you feel me? once i see him trying to steal a big wheel its over

I'm fairly certain I saw it at Fred Meyer today (I had to run an errand, and decided to check out the Home Electronics section).

There seemed to be a ton of them there. I guess the blue hairs who shop at Fred Meyer aren't buying GTA V
