I do not think NOH moves CP3 unless he throws a tantrum.

So, no - NOH will not do it.

There are many obstacles preventing us from a championship, but the largest one is the Lakers. Two things the Blazers have going for them in their matchup against L.A., maybe more than any other team, are their length and depth. Trades like these effectively destroy both of those strengths, just so we can now have three PG's who are used to a lot of minutes. CP3 is awesome and if I were wanting to build around one player he'd be #2 on my list, but this doesn't make us better.

Bah. I do not think we should trade Roy to get CP3. This, for me, pretty much nixes the entire idea.

Maybe I am too emotionally involved into what Roy has done to bring this franchise from the bottom of the pit to where it is today - but I just can't do that, sorry. I would much rather go forward with Roy and crew than with CP3 and whatever is left of the same crew.

Brandon Roy is a better closer than CP3 and is more capable, imho, of taking over a close game and forcing his will at it. Portland, as it is currently constructed, will, imho - be able to get to these tight situations to go for gold - and I want to see Roy giving it his shot.

I am pretty sure you are one of those that will not forgive Bill Walton because he looked at his own interest over the franchise at a point of greatness. I see it the same the other way around. I will not be able to look at the Blazers the same way if they dump Roy when a prettier player comes around.

And a great point at that. Those are the two things that bother me as well. 1. How Aldridge and Roy took the Blazers from "laughing stock of the NBA" to a very well respected ball club. and 2. Even with the NBA darling CP3 coming to the Blazers, how would that effect their Karma using Aldridge or Roy for the pieces to get er done?
 
After seeing a photo of New Orleans new coach on the game thread tonight, I began wondering how his dual status as coach and GM would affect his relationship with Chris Paul and the likelihood of Paul being traded. Paul has already said he is upset that not only was he not consulted about the trade but was not even notified before the general public. And he didn't seem too inspired in his first game with Bowers as coach. If these guys have a bad coach-player relationship; would it make it more likely Bowers would try to trade him at some point? I mean, it could get personal; coach thinking the guy is not giving his all for him or not listening, and that carrying over to his GM decisions...
