Do you think NO would even consider it? They maybe able to shoot for a top 5 pick with the amount of losses they get.

Racist.
My opinion as well. You do not trade Roy to keep Rudy and LMA.
Hey I actually made a deal work, with all the crappy Trade exemptions, PPP and cap issues. Okay so here it is.
Portland deals: T Outlaw, Aldridge, R. Fernandez, J. Bayless
They receive: Chris Paul
....
No, you trade him because Paul is a better player, and Roy would piss shards of broken glass over having to share the spotlight with him.
I am pretty sure you are one of those that will not forgive Bill Walton because he looked at his own interest over the franchise at a point of greatness. I see it the same the other way around. I will not be able to look at the Blazers the same way if they dump Roy when a prettier player comes around.
Just my $0.02

Bah. I do not think we should trade Roy to get CP3. This, for me, pretty much nixes the entire idea.
Maybe I am too emotionally involved into what Roy has done to bring this franchise from the bottom of the pit to where it is today - but I just can't do that, sorry. I would much rather go forward with Roy and crew than with CP3 and whatever is left of the same crew.
Irrational? Maybe. But there you go.
Brandon Roy is a better closer than CP3 and is more capable, imho, of taking over a close game and forcing his will at it. Portland, as it is currently constructed, will, imho - be able to get to these tight situations to go for gold - and I want to see Roy giving it his shot.

Fair enough.
Would you reconsider if the player in question was LeBron?![]()
