This would be such a GREAT environment for DeMarcus Cousins.
Just sayin!

Yes. Let's take a veteran team that seems to have great chemisty and add in a young knucklehead who will complain about minutes.
To Demacrcus' "credit" (god I hate to even go that far) the King's guard's are allergic to passing; he plays with a team full of blackholes who just don't give him the ball and for a really immature and volatile guy like Cousins who was drafted high that frustrates him.
Nice theory, but the stats say otherwise. Other than Dante Greene, who has played a total of 14 minutes, Cousins leads the team, by wide margins, in both FGA/36 and USG%. Those SAC guards that are supposedly black holes, not so much:
DeMarcus Cousins - 17.7 FGA/36
Marcus Thornton - 14.9 FGA/36
Tyreke Evans - 13.9 FGA/36
Jimmer Fredette - 13.7 FGA/36
Isaiah Thomas - 11.4 FGA/36
And USG%:
DeMarcus Cousins - 30.3 UGS%
Tyreke Evans - 23.2 USG%
Marcus Thornton - 23.0 USG%
Isaiah Thomas - 22.0 USG%
Jimmer Fredette - 21.0 USG%
So, the guy that is, by far, the biggest ball hog on the team is the one bitching about not getting enough touches. You guys sure you want this moron on your team?

Well Cousins is pretty damn good, so it makes sense they would establish his presence as much as possible.
REALLY??? Establish what, that he sucks? Sure the kid has some talent, but right now, he's all about "upside" not results. Last season he had an FG% or 0.430. That's pretty damn bad for a center. This season his FG% is 0.321. That just flat out sucks for any player, playing any position, at any level.
So, let's recap. The guy that's shooting 0.321 from the field leading the team in FGA/36 and has one of the highest USG% in the entire league is bitching that he's not getting enough shots.

I hadn't really looked at Cousins' FGAs and the like, but I do know that there is a culture of selfishness on that team, that's been prevalent ever since they made Tyreke Evans their starting "point" guard ... and I'd imagine Cousins is more or less a product of that environment (and a knucklehead).
Jamal Crawford@JCrossoverReply: There's gonna be highs and lows of a season, and we understand that..but we really play for each other..special group.
He's not a product of the environment. He's a team "leader" in that area. He was a selfish headcase at Kentucky, too. The kid is just an immature idiot. He has a tremendous sense of entitlement, but hasn't come close to EARNING anything by actually performing at a high level. He has no right to complain about his teammates or his coach when he's shooting 0.321 from the field with a 30.3 USG%. That combination of numbers is mindbogglingly bad. He should be glad his coach is refusing to play him. If he keeps playing like that, it will only make his trade value lower than it already is.

How bout that?! Good job Crawford. And this after a game Nate really didn't call his number on. That's pretty cool

Those numbers are bad, but I would caution about using them given the actual number of games he's actually appeared in.
