I'm still not impressed with MZA. The only reason he's putting up some points is because Kreider is playing like an animal, winning all the lose pucks for him and Stepan is now getting hot.

Boyle was actually good tonight. You have to give him credit. He has 5 points this year which is much better than the crap he displayed last year. He had 5 points in 38 games last year. I laughed when the morons at THN named Quick as the best goalie in the league. Puhleeeease. The guy has below a .900 save % this year on a great team. Last year his save % was a weak .902% where Bernier's was .922%. Honestly, they made a mistake not trading Quick instead of Bernier. They could have dumped his big salary and gotten a lot more back from Toronto.

MZA deserves plenty of credit. He is a quick player with good hands who keeps the opposition on their heels. He plays in the tough areas along the boards, is good on the forecheck and he makes plays. I was at the game last night and when they played Montreal last week and it is remarkable how well he played. Having talented linemates certainly helps but you can't say it's all because of them. The guy is a sparkplug.

It's all because of them. MZA is incapable of winning one on one battles because he's small and weak. He lost 2 playoff games vs. Boston because he was outmuscled by forwards. Right now without Nash they need his offense. However, he's an extremely bad defensive player in the playoffs vs. big teams.

Agree dump about boyle. Also think he's playing where he belongs and is a big asset on the 4th line, killing penalties and taking defensive face-offs as opposed to playing on first and 2nd lines. I have no problem with boyle who is also a good team guy and even though wish he could fight still sticks up for his teammates. MZA looks good right now but the litmus test for myself and others is how his play will translate in the playoffs. Disappointed Kreider not on the first pp a couple of times in the game as cally was in his place. CK could easily have had a hat trick yesterday doing all the dirty work and in position for numerous chances that he'll be cashing in on soon. Leave cally with hags and richards with the second group. Unless I'm missing something Dorsett who came over with fighter reputation is simply a punching bag who always ends up on the botttom of whoever he's fighting. Like I said yesterday Henrik compared with fleury and most other goalies the difference is as wide as the grand canyon. Bet henrik doesn't mind a few extra pucks that he can actually see with the tradeoff being we'll be scoring more goals ourselves. The team looks great breaking out of the zone an is getting a ton of chances as a result. Watching a couple of those lead passes to Kreider where he just skates by the defenseman are fun to watch and will be even better as he starts cashing in on them.

Actually, Dorsett's reputation was he would fight anybody but lost often. I'm more interested in him getting to a 10 G 15 A level as an agitating forward. Agree that Kreider should be on the first PP unit. Especially when Nash is back. Nash should shoot, Stepan should pass, Kreider should be in front. The best thing so far about AV's system is how they break out. Under Torts, breaking out of their zone was like loser DDD trying to stay on his own board. It was a losing cause. Now, they break out of the zone with ease.

HAHAHAHAHA

Yeah, it is nice being able to talk about the rangers both good and bad without that moron DDD and his drivel every 3 seconds along with the other trolls

A guy like Dorsett really shows his worth in the playoffs. In the regular season he takes some dumb penalties. In the playoffs last year, he drew penalties.
