I bet property taxes in Oregon Rocket way up this year! Look at some of the increase valuations in all areas and its nuts.
If I am not mistaken, unless their is some sort of improvement done to the property, the taxes can only go up 3% per year no matter the increase in valuation.

You are correct.

But over 1000 years that's 3000%.

People want to be considered period. "We're the Majority" so we know whats best for you is BS.
This statement is Bull Shit because it denies majority rule. If you want your little bit of heaven to prevail, invite more people to live there and you'll have more weight at the polls.
What do you think about the support that the urban areas provide for the rural areas? Are you willing to give that up?

isn't that what idaho is doing? Inviting more like minded Oregonians to thier state? And arent those Oregonians actively looking to move?

To say majority should always rule and if people dont like it they should find another slice of heaven is a tually the BS.

... im curious how that would go over with BLM?
Minorities in general?

Majority isn't always right and certainly doesn't always know whats best for everyone.

It was intended in context with both a state constitution and the United States Constitution.

I'm sure I already said this in the thread, but good luck with some of those counties in Eastern Oregon. As much as they complain about how "blue" Portland/Willamette Valley, good luck with trying to find the $ to run all those empty ass counties.

I'd say there's a reason why their circles are smaller.

I guess we can all agree, then, that the current state to the east is "Lesser Idaho"?

They don’t have to petitions to be part of Idaho, they can easily move there. No problems. The only reason they are petitioning they are trying to push there beliefs on everyone. Just move

I want Oregon to become part of Switzerland but it's not going to happen
